Sadly, Peter Dobing, who recently passed away, was in poor health when I was writing a biography of Roy Vernon, & couldn’t be of assistance. Two top players, their careers were intertwined, with spells together at @Rovers @ @stokecity . Peter outlived Roy to the tune of 32 years.
