What happens to unclaimed Creator Fees?

We're introducing a 21-day claim window for creator fees across all WIRED launches, applying retroactively to existing tokens and to all future launches.
Here's how it works:
21-Day Countdown
Every eligible creator will see a claim countdown in the WIRED Explorer. Once they verify their social media account and connect a wallet, the countdown disappears, and all future trading fees will continue flowing to them without any time restriction.
The fist claim windows expire in 5 days.
Unclaimed Fees → Giggle Academy
If a creator doesn't verify within 21 days, their outstanding BNB fees will automatically be donated to @GiggleAcademy. The Explorer status will update to "Wired to Giggle," and those fees will no longer be claimable.
Why the change?
Until now, unclaimed creator fees remained in the protocol indefinitely, often accumulating in wallets that might never be claimed.
We explored alternatives, including a 90-day claim period followed by buybacks or community rewards. Ultimately, we decided those funds could serve a greater purpose: supporting education through Giggle Academy.
Our commitment is simple:
70% of creator fees belongs to the named creator. WIRED will never keep this creator allocation. Once the creator verifies their account and binds a wallet within 21 days, the full allocation is secured for them. If the deadline expires, that 70% is converted to BNB and wired to Giggle Academy after swap and network costs.
The remaining 30% funds the $WIRED flywheel.
Every creator allocation reaches one of two destinations: the verified creator or Giggle Academy.

Before sharing a claim that a creator got paid, follow the payment.
Start with the token’s WIRED claim page. Check the recorded recipient and payout progress, then inspect the available transaction record onchain.
A transaction link gives your community something concrete to check. Use the delivered amount when describing the payout, accounting for any delivery costs.
Think of the open-source maintainer whose code keeps your project running.
WIRED supports GitHub profiles as creator-fee recipients. A community member can choose that profile when launching, connecting the recipient allocation to the person behind the software.
The maintainer must complete the applicable verification process to claim.
Which repository has earned a place in your daily work?
You have followed an artist for years. WIRED lets you launch a token with their supported social profile as the fee recipient.
Under the standard split, 70% of creator fees belongs to the verified recipient. The launching wallet receives 15%, giving the person who brought the idea onchain a share too.

A follower sends you a token launched around your work.
Open its WIRED claim page and check the recipient profile recorded at launch. Publish a compatible payout address through the supported public-proof flow, then let the community trigger verification.

Estimated lifetime trading volume has reached $32.03 million, including the official WIRED token. That estimate is derived from cumulative trading fees.
$WIRED has also spent 27 BNB on buybacks and burns, while donations to @GiggleAcademy have reached 38.33 BNB.
Each creator chooses where their launch’s fees go, connecting trading activity to the people and communities they want to support.
