Thus Elendil held himself in readiness & did not meddle in the evil deeds of those days & ever he looked for a sign that did not come. Then he journeyed in secret to the western shores & gazed out over the sea for sorrow & yearning were upon him.

"You have been told many lies.
Some run so deep,
even the rocks and roots now believe them.
To untangle it all…
would all but require the creation of a new world.
But that is something only the gods can do."

to bring order.

"There is only one way: to find the Cracks of Doom in the depths of Orodruin, the Fire-mountain, and cast the Ring in there, if you really wish to destroy it, to put it beyond the grasp of the Enemy forever."

Happy Birthday, #MichaelCrichton
Author, filmmaker, physician, and endlessly curious mind. His imagination gave us timeless stories and questions about science, ambition, and responsibility that still resonate.
Which Crichton story first sparked your imagination?
One of my favourite props in the whole show, its just so perfect for Tom🦔☺️
