the debate over definitions is super tiring... these models are clearly "general" intelligences; the span of things they can engage in at a high level is very obviously much wider than 95%+ of humans "AGI" is not some magic destination, it is just a description of these systems

I gotta say a few words here. For a minute, I actually had hope this administration would possibly bring about some form of disclosure on UFOs. But instead @WhiteHouse preyed on people’s belief on that, and made a mockery of the whole movement. It’s an embarrassment

Nice to see the Trump administration thinks national security is a laughing matter. @RepLuna @RepTimBurchett @RepEricBurlison perhaps message that this is a masterclass of what not to do as a White House comms strategy.

Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, The single most important thing Americans care about right now — besides continued deportations — is the SAVE America Act. With a White House, Republican House, & Republican Senate, many voters are getting demoralized due to the lack of action — especially on the part of our Senate — to pass legislation. Our viewpoint is that if Leader Thune will not pass the SAVE America Act, then we must replace some of his allies in the Senate. President Trump has already endorsed AGAINST Senator Cassidy in Louisiana & we look forward to replacing him this November. We ask you to please relay to President Trump that the majority of Texans do NOT want Senator Cornyn & will be voting FOR Ken Paxton on May 26th. Thank you for your service & thank you for listening to our voices.
I’m joining X to share occasional updates about the work we do at the White House. We are relentlessly focusing on advancing President Trump’s agenda and delivering on promises to the American people. I welcome different viewpoints. Follow along for insights and information.

Apparently, arresting Maduro and killing Khamenei were easier than getting a Republican Senate majority to pass the Save America Act.

Any chance, given the tremendous interest shown, we can get those 3 million remaining Epstein files from Pam Bondi?

TUCKER CARLSON: There won’t be Epstein arrests because it would expose a “SUPRA GOVERNMENT” that’s above representative government. Carlson says the Epstein story is bigger than blackmail, s*x with minors, or satanic rituals. “The bigger question is what is this? It’s clearly an informal governance body over what the rest of us consider the authorities, which is to say governments, nation states,” Carlson explained. Who was Jeffrey Epstein? Carlson described Epstein as the most “plugged in” person he’s ever seen. So plugged in that he was “discussing the fall of Gaddafi in Libya BEFORE it happened and trying to figure out how to profit from that.” According to Carlson, Epstein was sort of an “independent power broker” working with “a series of other independent power brokers together who form some kind of supra government above all representative government in the West.” That’s why he was so plugged in. When the reporter asked Carlson, “Do you think we’ll see arrests?” he answered: “Well, it’s been almost 20 years that some of this material has been in the custody of governments. Most of it is still hidden, and there have been no arrests. Instead, there’s been a consistent, over decades, effort to shield the people exposed from arrest.” At best, he thinks “there may be performative arrests” — but nothing meaningful enough to expose the “supra government” over representative government.

The Epstein files have become the biggest black eye for this administration. There are very few issues that unite Americans across politics, religion, and income levels. Protecting kids is one of them. The last three administrations failed to address it. This was an opportunity to finally confront it head on. The “attack, deny, never apologize” playbook doesn’t work when children are involved. Yes, there’s a lot to celebrate: • Murder down 20% • Border more secure • America projecting strength • Markets performing well But none of that matters to parents if kids aren’t protected. It’s also true many on the left are more focused on taking down Trump than protecting children, otherwise this would’ve been a priority years ago. Still, this has been badly mishandled. When it comes to kids, transparency and accountability aren’t optional. Major fumble. No other way to say it.

thhhhhiiiiisssss. Design Executives (VP and above) have to do a lot of stakeholder management, education, evangelism, etc., that is not expected of other VPs, as their functions are either better understood, or just assumed to be mission-critical.
Replying to @jaffoneh
5 / Third, stakeholder management: with so many peers at this level, especially in engineering and PM, the time you spend on stakeholder management is likely much higher than any of your peers. This difference here could also be quite an advantage if seen as an opportunity.
