This obsession with trying to manufacture a rivalry between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese has gotten BEYOND ridiculous. We have now landed back in “Angels better than Caitlin” conversation.
One player is being held to HISTORIC standards, while the other is being celebrated for simply meeting expectations, and playing a role suited for her.
One is expected to CARRY a franchise, elevate EVERYONE around her, and completely transform the trajectory of an organization know for LOSING at the highest level, ask Kelsey Mitchell.. She was leading loser prior to someone coming.
The other gets PRAISED for forcing her way out of a situation that required a-little resilience, just so you all can call her a “winner”.
Caitlin Clark isn’t competing against Angel Reese. She’s competing against a standard that seemingly DOESN’T EXIST for anyone else in the WNBA. Ghost competition.
There’s a DIFFERENCE between being part of a winning team, and being the REASON a team wins. You’re not ready to have that conversation however.

Caitlin Clark: "Golden State booed me every time I touched the ball and I liked that. I thought that was great and fun. That's what makes makes the game fun. They're passionate. You can boo, you can yell at people. I was just watching the the Yankees playoff baseball last night. Man, those Yankee fans are brutal!"
"But I think there's certainly a line, and that can't be crossed. I think any of us and any person in their right mind knows there's certain rhetoric that's just not okay, and that's not something I've ever stood for."
