Slightly belated happy 92nd bday to my pal Roldo Bartimole. Chicago Tribune once called him "the conscience of Cleveland" & Pulitzer-winner David Cay Johnston dubbed him "Cleveland's I.F. Stone clone." But for half my life he's been a constant source of stimulating conversation.

I’m super grateful the world is coming around to just how big of a loser Pat McAfee actually is

Bret is obsessed with Israel. The US government is obsessed. Big donors to both parties are obsessed. Israel is obsessed with making sure US politics and policy support its wars, expansion, genocide and apartheid. Most of us would be happy to ignore Israel. We are not allowed.
We don't care, Trump butt boy.
After forty years in front of the camera, I’ll be directing my first feature film, SO HELP ME GOD: a Civil War epic about a Union soldier named Albert Townsend, who should have received the Medal of Honor but didn’t.
Clerical error.
I learned of Albert through his descendants’ archival research. What I found was more than an injustice waiting to be corrected. It was a story of friendship and extraordinary courage: an unassuming young man becoming a soldier who held his ground, and his principles, under fire.
That’s a story worth telling on the largest possible scale. And we’re inviting the people who want to see it told to help bring it to the screen, as investors in the film through Republic.
We intend to do it justice: real cannons, one hundred horses, and the cast in period-accurate uniforms. We’ve brought on Mark Huffam, whose work includes Saving Private Ryan, Game of Thrones, and The Martian, to produce it. He knows what it takes to make an epic, and how much depends on the human story at its heart.
At the Medal of Honor Heritage Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee, I introduced the project alongside Civil War historian Brad Quinlin, members of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, and representatives of Civil War Roundtables. We’re also supporting the campaign for Albert’s posthumous Medal of Honor. His descendants are still fighting to see his courage properly recognized.
This picture is about friendship, love, and honor — and common people rising to accomplish extraordinary things. I want to give that story everything it deserves.
I hope you will lift the banner with us.

please do tell me which war crimes the Japanese interior minister committed lately with my tax dollars

Hard not to notice what a losing hand guys like Bret are stuck with. Had to go from talking about the "kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful country in the world!" to a blanket demand that everyone just stop talking or knowing anything about Israel.

I would love one day for the opportunity to interview or debate Bret Stephens. He says so much nonsense with so much confidence. The whataboutism is here is pathetic.
Is the interior minister of Japan daily bragging about mass murder and ethnic murder and making foreign mothers cry?
Is the interior minister of Japan receiving billions of dollars in US military aid?
Is the interior minister of Japan's government being investigated by the ICJ for genocide and wanted at the ICC for war crimes?
Are we in a war alongside Japan right now?
Do US politicians, both GOP and Dem, declare they entered politics to defend Japan or have dreams about Japan?
I could keep going...

Bret Stephens has a piece out TODAY on Israel's election.

Weirdly, he didn't write a piece about Japan's election in February.
So who is the one "obsessed" with Israel?

I hate this condescending whataboutism. Yes Bret, if the interior minister of Japan was a right-wing religious zealot using US taxpayer money for ethnic cleansing, they would probably be better known.
Tomlin also established that Steeler football meant lots of thuggery.
I recall @CoachTomlin being asked in 2008 about Willie Parker saying they needed to get back to “Steeler football”. Tomlin: “I don’t know what Willie’s interpretation of Steeler football is. But every day when I go to work, I walk by 5 Lombardi Trophies, not 5 rushing titles.”
As a pathetic defender of fascist Israel, this guy is just about as bad as the egregious Bari Weiss.
If you're dumb enough not to diversify your portfolio at that age, you deserve everything you get.

So the "peace talks" are just a cover for the business negotiations
What the hell is wrong with you, NBC News? She brokered no ceasefire.

Maybe you and the rest of @ohiogop should stop protecting and platforming pedophiles? Maybe Republicans should vote to release the Epstein Files?
Why are @TheDemocrats the only ones protecting women and children while Republicans serve the Epstein Class like bunch of cucks?
It’s a new talking point from the left and it’s damn disgusting. They love to call us “pedophiles.” The press lets them with no outrage or questioning. Ever. I was a prosecutor and a judge. I handled cases with real-life pedophiles. They are disgusting creatures who prey on our most vulnerable. I prosecuted them and locked them up. I am also a committed son, dad, husband, brother, and uncle to a family I adore. Yet as a GOP activist/leader, first-rate clowns like this nasty phony-baloney @SherrodBrown call anyone on the GOP “pedophiles.” He can go and…🤬🤬🤬
