As a mid/low middle aged woman with a precarious connection to reality I can provide insight to the psyche behind this decision and say it involved a lot of telling herself there’s no difference between herself and the people who successfully pull off a bold hat look

My teenage daughter was asked by her doctor when she last had her period.
She replied, “It’s regular. You don’t need the exact dates.”
When I asked her why she answered that way, she explained that doctors can no longer be trusted with certain personal information and should get used to patients keeping things to themselves.
Imagine raising a generation of girls who feel they have to withhold basic medical information because they no longer trust the system to protect them.
