Excited to announce my commitment to @MethodistU_BSB! Thank you to my family, coaches, and teammates for supporting me along the way. A huge thank you Coach @SpencerMartin27 for this opportunity. Go Monarchs! #Committed
Thank you to @SCRprospects for all the help over the last few years. Their advice made a big difference while I was working toward playing in college. Grateful for the Sclafani College Recruiting coaches and staff! @nowlin_nate @DanMooney_BF
Congratulations to 2027 SS/2B Will Spellman (@wrspellman) on his commitment to Methodist University (@MethodistU_BSB)!
Will is a talented infielder who brings athleticism and a well-rounded skill set to the field. Defensively, he shows athletic actions, a clean glove, and the ability to move well and make plays up the middle. He is a good overall athlete with solid speed showcasing a sub-7 60 and the versatility to handle both SS and 2B. Offensively, Will shows good bat-to-ball skills and the ability to drive the ball into the gaps, with EVs into the 90s. With his athleticism and projectable frame, Will will only continue to build on his skillset as he transitions to the next level!
Methodist is adding a talented infielder with the tools and upside to continue making strides at the next level. We're excited to see Will continue to develop and make his mark as he begins the next chapter of his baseball career!
Congratulations, Will, and best of luck at Methodist!

Good showing from Will here. MINF with good defensive actions and solid speed (6.9 60). Player who will continue to improve.
