After years of closures of some beloved print titles, SA's magazine scene is getting one back.
Clipping Point Publishing and Hearst Magazines International will launch Cosmopolitan throughout Feb & March 2027 across digital, social media and monthly print editions.
This pleases me and my homegirls very much! ๐ญ

People still asking where Captain Marvel was during Infinity War missed three basic timeline facts that the movies already explained.
Carol gave Nick Fury a cosmic pager in 1995 strictly for planetary emergencies and Fury didn't actually press the button until the Infinity War post-credits scene, after the Snap had already happened!
The Black Order attacked New York one afternoon, and Thanos snapped in Wakanda the very next day. Unless someone paged her, she had zero way of knowing Thanos was on Earth.
Just days before Infinity War, Thanos decimated Xandar and wiped out the Nova Corps for the Power Stone. As she told Rhodey in Endgame: "There are a lot of other planets in the universe, and unfortunately, they didn't have you guys."
The better question isn't where Captain Marvel was, it's why Nick Fury waited until people were turning to dust to finally hit the pager!

Is crazy that the only person who understood and comforted them was, for her, a version from another universe, and for him, a version that marked the beginning of his creation. The fact that these two are so alike, even in the way they cope w grief is incredible. LEGENDARY LOVERS
An important mention from this month's watch goes to Lucy Shimmers and the Prince of Peace by Rob Diamond, about a sickly little girl who befriends a criminal when they share a hospital ward. It's not the best film you'll ever watch, but it will make you feel things. I loved it.

I've lived so many lives, I sometimes forget that I was once published in the Akรฉ Review. Like, Lola Shoneyin has read my work!

wanda and vision mourning their son who's actually alive while jeff and rebecca are happy about the survival of their son who's actually dead... this is heartwrenching #VisionQuest
There's something cute about Jocasta using an Edgar Allan Poe poem as one of her passkeys, considering T'Nia Miller was in Mike Flanagan's adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's works.

If the writers of ViSiONQUEST don't get a writing award at the very least? I'll riot. Last week's episodes were a masterclass in storytelling, and managed to engage us even with very limited production design. Episode 7??? The finale cannot get here sooner.
Nalento yokuthi everyone is reporting that there were barely any lines at their voting stations is scaring me. I got to mine around 10:20 with my book, powerbank and water bottle ready, and by 11 I was done.
I am open to believing that people went there later, but wonke umuntu?

I made a film about a Black British trans woman and her relationship with her partner, a Black American man. If you love romance and want to give black trans folk a chance at getting industry attention, then blow up this project!

Yes Mamdani is underqualified compared to Dr Tlaleng who has actually worked in policy development for over 15 years, was a Commissioner at a Chapter 9 institution, then led efforts at the United Nation. They are not peers. Not by any stretch of imagination. Then ran for Mayor๐ซถ๐พ
