I was honored to have a conversation with my friend @StarrSurvivor. Our dads were football coaches taken by gun violence. We talked about being coaches’ kids, what we miss about them and how they live on through our children. #MomentsThatSurive
LISTEN: Stephen Venable & Tiffany Starr remember their fathers, both killed by gun violence. Stephen sees his father in himself: "I catch myself saying things that I know my dad would've said. I'm like oh, yeah, that's Dad." #MomentsThatSurvive @StoryCorps

Firearm violence is a preventable public health crisis. Our failure to address it is a moral crisis. To protect the health and well-being of Americans—especially our children—we must now act with the clarity, courage, and urgency the moment demands. surgeongeneral.gov/firearm-v… 10/10

I’m grateful to see the Minnesota House passed bills strengthening safe storage laws, requiring lost or stolen firearms to be reported to law enforcement, and increasing criminal penalties for straw purchasers. On to the Senate!

I only hope that Bud knew just how many people he touched with his kindness, how many people's days he lifted with a simple "Whassssup, man?," how many people who helped Bud in some way over who are now realizing how much he helped them. Rest in peace.

The pain of having their mother, Ruthanne, taken by senseless gun violence is ever-present for sisters Carmen Lodato and Gina Pelusi—even ten years later.

Thank you and congratulations to Coach Murphy. His first game was my first on campus as a freshman and remember sitting in my dorm room listening to the game on WHRB--win over Columbia! What a run since then! Best of luck in the next challenge! #GoCrimson
Thank you, Coach.

Watching football and eating our traditional Mexican dinner to celebrate the lives of my dad and my brother. I realized why the Progressive ads on not turning into your parents have hit with me. It's the simple irony. There's no greater compliment than to say I'm like my dad. 1/
