β 21.4% conversion rate
Is 21.4% a good trial-to-paid conversion rate? π€
Hey builders π
How was your weekend? π
Did you build an app, ship a new feature, work on a side project, hit the gym, play some sports, or just take some time to relax? π
What did you get up to? π
Hey builders π
What are you working on this weekend?
Shipping something new? Fixing bugs? Chasing that next milestone?
Or are you finally taking some time off to recharge? π΄
What's the plan? π
WHAT?! π€―
Kimi K3.1 Pro just jumped to 4th place.
Itβs officially in the top tier now. π₯
Kimi K3.1 Pro launches at 4th on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index scoring 55, making large gains in agentic performance; it will be the leading open-weights model once its weights are published
@Kimi_Moonshot's new reasoning model gains 11 points over Kimi K3 (max, 44). It trails only Claude Opus 5.5 (max with fallback, 58), Claude Sonnet 5.5 (max with fallback, 56), and Muse Wonder Full (max, 56) on the Intelligence Index.
Once the weights for K3.1 Pro are released it will be the highest-scoring open weights model and the gap between the leading open weights and proprietary models on the Intelligence Index will narrow from 12 points to 3.
Key results:
β€ Large gains in agentic performance: Kimi K3.1 Pro scores 3rd on GDPval-AA with 1,846 Elo, up 312 Elo from Kimi K3, behind only Claude Opus 5.5 (1,866 Elo) and Muse Wonder Full (1,857 Elo). Kimi K3.1 Pro also achieves the highest score of any model on Terminal-Bench 4.0. K3.1 Pro scores 67%, up from 13% for Kimi K3 and ahead of Claude Sonnet 5.5 (64%). AutomationBench-AA, which tests agentic SaaS workflows, rises from 58% to 73%.
β€ Gains in other evals are more moderate: Humanity's Last Exam rises from 47% to 52%, CritPt from 23% to 25%, and SciCode from 59% to 61%. AA-Omniscience Index rises from 20 to 30, as the hallucination rate falls from 53% to 44% and accuracy rises from 48% to 51%.
β€ Cost per Task roughly equal to Kimi K3 at $1.98 per Task: K3.1 Pro uses 55K output tokens per Intelligence Index task, 14% more than Kimi K3 at 48K, while its first-party token prices are 33% lower.
Additional model details:
β€ Context window: 1M tokens.
β€ Size: 2.8T total, 104B active parameters
β€ Input modalities: Text and image
β€ Weights and license: Weights currently not published, Moonshot is expected to release the weights soon after launch
β€ Pricing: $2/$10/$0.20 per 1M input/output/cache hit tokens, 33% lower than Kimi K3 on all three rates.
Congratulations to the team at @Kimi_Moonshot on the release!
ASO is working pretty well for Otiggo in France and Belgium π«π·π§πͺ
But in the US and UK, there's a big problem: people can find Otiggo by searching for its name, but not through relevant keywords.
No keyword visibility = almost no organic downloads.
How do you get those first downloads in a new market when your app isn't ranking for any keywords yet?
Do you focus on TikTok, paid ads, or another strategy? π
Second month of Otiggo and we might hit β¬400 MRR π
We're already at β¬320, with 20 free trials still running that will end before the end of the month.
Let's see how many convert. Exciting to see things moving forward π
π OssAlternatives keeps growing every single day.
New tools and open-source alternatives are being added to the platform every day.
π And the numbers are showing it: visibility and traffic continue to grow.
Weβre just getting started. π₯
I'm considering launching a route optimization API with Otiggo. π
The idea is simple:
- Send your vehicles, stops, and constraints
- Otiggo optimizes your routes
- Get optimized routes ready to use
Built for TMS platforms, ERP systems, delivery software, and AI agents.
Would you use an API like this? π
Iβve built pretty much everything on managed services for my SaaS: DB, hosting, Google APIs, etc.
But Iβm starting to hit the limits of the free tiers, and some of the bills are now getting more expensive than a VPS.
So Iβm wondering: at what point do you move away from managed services?
Do you move to VPSs?
1 VPS per service?
Do you double everything for failover?
How do you guys handle this as your user base starts growing?
Iβve been a bit less active here lately.
Building an alternative to Spoke and finding our first customers has been harder than I expected.
But the first revenue is finally here. π
Otiggo made its first β¬100 in revenue in September π
For October, we're currently at a β¬300 forecast π€
(free trials included)
Slowly but surely, we're moving forward. πͺ
ossalternative org is growing every day! π
We already have 454 alternatives listed, with new ones added daily.
Heads up: I will soon be redirecting ossbase to ossalternative!
π΄ββοΈ Day 1: Saumur β Azay-le-Rideau
75 km through the heart of the Loire Valley, riding from castle to castle and taking in some incredible French scenery. π°π«π·
Today, exploring Saumur and its Castle π°
Tomorrow, 3 days of cycling π² to explore the Loire Valley Castle! π°
Apple is terrible right now π
For Otiggoβs first release, Appleβs review was much faster than Googleβs.
Now itβs the complete opposite: Iβve had two Android versions approved on the same day, while the iOS version is still waiting for reviewβ¦
Are you also experiencing slower App Store reviews lately?
