I spent my day trying to clean an encampment that had been looted and set on fire (seemingly unreported). If this were a brick-and-mortar home, there'd be insurance, trauma support, relocation indoors ― a safety net. When you're homeless, there's nothing. It's just all gone.

There are no programs that provide health insurance to my patients in the ICU on ventilators who do not have an OHIP card for no other reason other than their social circumstances, mental illness, lack of family support and/or disability.
Remove barriers to getting a healthcard.
