Got tired of waiting for GRTNext, and hate quickload, so I slopped up my own ballistics lab software that we call the Integrated Ballistics Lab.
Can use the existing GRT solver and powder models, added a compendium of every SAAMI spec cartridge out there. Integrates with our oscilloscope for pressure measurements (keysight isn't getting another dime for that shitty windows app), fits the model to your own pressure and chrono data, and labels where every constant came from. Agent native too. Have claude work up a load for you using IBL.
Models external ballistics too, using custom drag curves that you can create yourself if you have the compute (did the DD in about 30 hours on a Framework Desktop). Predicted velocity with that new curve was on within 4fps at 50 yards for the shots we measured at that range.
Also working on our own interior solver model. No reason we can't improve on what is already out there.

She voted for it.
She welcomed them.
Faced with the encore, she begs them to stop. In her heart she knows they will not.
Everything she believed. That they were French like her, fighting for the same cause. That the ones who warned her were full of hate. That she would be safe.
It all falls apart in this moment. She is terrified of what comes next. In her heart she knows.
Only remigration can save her.
“Why are you doing this? Stop it! That’s not what we stand for!”
A young French woman who appears to be leftist tries unsuccessfully to stop looters from breaking into a supermarket.
Cause and consequence, face to face.
I can’t help but feel heartbroken to helplessly watch my country being torn apart.
Remember: 24 years ago the government murdered Vicki and Samuel Weaver, and their dog for the very thing they now say is totes alright
NGL, if at age 6 you're deliberately shooting people in the head, turnabout is the MOST REASONABLE corrective action. Anything else is insanity.
THIS IS CRAZY. UNREAL.
Bodycam footage from the January 6, 2023 shooting at Richneck Elementary School in Virginia has now been unsealed.
A 6-year-old black student stole his mother’s loaded 9mm Taurus, brought it to school, and shot his first-grade teacher, Abby Zwerner.
Listen to the kid cussing at the police.
‘F*ck you, I shot my teacher!’
‘F*ck you b*tch.’
‘I stole it because I needed to shoot my teacher.’
‘If you want a piece of me, come get it!’
He even tries to punch the woman holding him.
Keep in mind, this is after shooting his teacher at point blank range in a crowded elementary school classroom.
Thankfully the gun jammed as several more rounds were still seated in the magazine.
The bullet passed through Zwerner’s hand and entered her chest, collapsing her lung.
She required life saving medical treatment but made a full recovery.
Zwerner later won a $10 million civil verdict against former assistant principal Ebony Parker, who had received information that the kid might have a gun that day but still decided to do nothing.
Ebony was also criminally charged with eight felony child-neglect counts for not preventing the shooting, but in May 2026 a judge dismissed all of those charges
(Wonder what ‘Ebony’ looks like)
The boy was not charged or prosecuted because of his age, while his mother faced separate criminal charges related to the firearm.
The mother is currently free.
Expect to see this kid in the news very soon.
Also. I wonder if that teacher is a horrible racist right now.
You know. Because of the color of his skin and all that terrible racist stuff we are supposed to ignore.

The only generation that knows how computers work is also the most relaxed about AI:
The rise of agents will kill the open internet. Whether from spam, kyc, or hyper regulation.
The private internet is coming. So the real question is, “Why aren’t you on Urbit, yet?”
There's a huge opportunity for invite-only social networks because current networks are flooded with noise or contain people who don't want to talk to each other.
Any network that isn't great (e.g. Goodreads, Yelp) can be rebuilt easily now. The 10x better product is the curation of people and information.
The internet can't just be split between broadcast networks for everyone and group chats for dozens of people. There has to be something in between.
The demo above is for `%tend`, an Urbit app + Omarchy plugin from @sarlev_ . It is an Apple Reminders clone that works:
- as an Omarchy plugin
- in the browser
- in a native mobile app
All without needing to:
- add and remove and manage (and pay for) more users on your @tailscale network
- use a centralized cloud service to host your database or business logic
- create a new identity system for every little plugin app that you want to build and share with your friends
- open ports on your home network (yikes) or set up a VPS to relay packets
Follow along this week for more examples of how people are putting
@urbit in @OmarchyLinux
to seize the benefits of self-sovereign identity, peer-to-peer networking, and a computer that you can trust to be yours--forever.
Replying to @OmarchyLinux
@OmarchyLinux is going to hit a ceiling without having a solution to identity, or multiplayer networking, for your plugins.
Unlike most of the outrage about Omarchy, this isn't a @dhh problem, but a Linux problem.
But pair Omarchy with @urbit
and the problem goes away:

i am once again noting that local ai is not about cost savings, but data ownership and privacy.
ownership is expensive.
the real question is if you correctly recognize that the alternative is infinitely costly.
Cigna approved two of the three procedure codes for my rotator cuff surgery. The third code is the main repair, which was denied. The two approved ones CAN'T be done without the first. WTF kind of retardation is this?

honestly, this clanker did a pretty good job explaining @urbit.
