The jump from 2015 to the 2018 pic was the first time I felt like I had made real progress in my colors. Turns out, contrast and vibrancy is... GOOD? Dull colors have their place, but my values used to ALWAYS be so close together, and so muddy.

I hope to have at least ONE thing done for Halloween, but it's entirely possible I won't. I had a few plans for this month, but life events, private work, and an absolute BITCH of a cold have made it rather difficult to keep focused. But I'm tryin'!

Mary's palette has historically been very purple and blue, but she's slowly been branching out. Occasional reds, maybe some blacks and whites. Warm colors and monochrome actually look pretty good on her! Time will tell if the color of her wardrobe continues to shift!

For as dear and sweet as Mary is, she almost certainly doesn't see herself as an angel. She doesn't think THAT highly of herself. She has her flaws, she has her problems, everyone does. That's why compassion is so important to her. We're ALL a mess.
