Enough electricity to power roughly 300 million homes for a year.
That’s the 945 TWh data centres are projected to consume annually by 2030.
No wonder the pushback against the buildout keeps growing.
But the GPUs that already exist have been built, powered, and connected. @ionet puts the underused ones to work so there’s less need to build new capacity first.
That’s how you make AI for the many, not the few.

The first conversation with your Persona is weird.
It's your opinions coming back at you in your own phrasing. Most people's first question is something they've posted about a dozen times, just to see if it gets it right.
You came to rent a GPU.
You ended up funding the whole cloud.
Infrastructure overhead. Managed service premiums. Fees to move your own data.
Every extra dollar is budget you can’t spend building.
Rent the GPU and skip the rest with @ionet.

$40 billion of debt to buy GPUs.
It comes with a warning from @elonmusk. Lenders have almost entirely shut the door on anyone whose business depends on data centres.
Borrow, build, and hope demand arrives before the interest does. That model is starting to break.
But there’s another way.
Aggregate capacity that already exists, put it to work, and scale with demand instead of with debt.
That’s @ionet.

C/C++ can be formally verified, we've verified portipns of the C++ Monad execution client (the riskier portions)
We also have an OCaml implementation for differential fuzzing and further formal verification efforts
Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana all need to build new clients implemented in Lean, . Then plan to deprecate existing clients
Major blockchains are ripe targets with complex codebases that are easy to hide bugs. Given what we’re seeing, the only safe approach is end to end formal verification. Rust/C/Go simply will not cut it
Yes, it will be extremely laborious and expensive. No one has ever ported such massive pieces of systems software to Lean before. But practically it can be done, it’s just hard. And the sooner it gets started, the better.

all the recent security news and new vulnerabilities are another reminder that only proactive teams will survive the transition to AI accelerated world
the days of shipping code and forgetting about it are over
ongoing research, development and active security maintenance are no longer optional
you either keep up with emerging threats, anticipate, adapt and keep building or risk getting outpaced by automated security tools that are getting better and cheaper every day
Monad is building with exactly this mindset

How to set up a subnet:
Step 1: Pick a domain
Step 2: Deploy it
From there, every query and data submission in that domain routes through you around the clock, credited to you as the operator, earning you points.
Borrow $1B to buy GPUs.
At 7%, that’s $70M a year in interest.
You owe it whether your GPUs are busy or sitting idle.
So you need them busy.
That pushes providers toward higher prices and longer contracts.
Where your compute comes from changes how your provider treats you.
@ionet puts builders at the center, not complex financing.

Testnet isn’t just about contributing data.
Who’s actually using it to explore and learn from their own data?
