Stumbled across @Sebbywebz 's excellent FF7 OG vs Remake/Rebirth vids on YouTube. I was inspired to draw this "1000 yard stare," hard-boiled Cloud after being reminded how heavy the tone of the OG was. Looking forward to more great voice work and thoughtful commentary!

Robert Eggers Moby Dick movie with Willem Dafoe as Ahab would genuinely be life changing

Movies I think Robert Eggers should do: - The Call of Cthulhu or any other Lovecraft adaptation - Return of the Obra Dinn - Moby Dick adaptation - Minotaur adaptation - Dante's The Devine Comedy - The Picture of Dorian Gray - Any Edgar Allan Poe story - The Leviathan

People in this fandom will look you dead in the eye and tell you that there's no difference in tone between the left and right hand sides. #FFVII #FinalFantasyVIIRebirth #FinalFantasyVIIRevelation #SquareEnix

Note: The reason I often use clips featuring Batman is because he, much like Cloud Strife, is a major pop culture character who's been in numerous adaptations over the years, a great number of which differ *completely* in tone, and this helps me illustrate my point.

in hindsight it’s sort of wild how many TV and movie villains are brought down by their crimes being revealed to the world when it turns out that real life villains can live-stream their crimes in 4K and the world’s response is “Hell yeah, do more crimes”

"No, he's a simp for MY favorite girl, ackshuelly!" Serious question: How many #Cloti and #Clerith shippers actually regard #CloudStrife as his own person, and not just a useful prop for their favorite characters? #FFVII #CloudStrifeGatekeeping

Instead, we got Crisis Core and Rebirth. A woeful misstep in this story's evolutionary path, never to be amended. So the next time someone tries to gaslight me by claiming that "FF has *always* been this cringe", my reaction is simply
