St Vincent & The Grenadines have done it! They’ve made the Netball World Cup for just the fourth time — their first since 2003. They had to do it the hard way, with St. Lucia forcing their last match to extra time, before the Jewels came away with a 55-53 win. #NWC2027

And now St. Lucia are back. The Sparks will take place in the Americas Regional Qualifiers thanks to support from the St. Lucia Olympic Committee, a local bank and other businesses.

St. Lucia have withdrawn from the Netball World Cup qualifiers in Barbados next month due to financial reasons. On the back of an historic bronze medal at the Central American & Caribbean (CAC) Games, federal government funding won’t cover all travel and participation costs.

With a series against England in Jan/Feb falling through, and this Con Cup looking like the test matches for the Diamonds before the World Cup, surely you look at creating a Presidents XII series.
