The funniest counterpoint folks use to knock Mahomes greatness is "he had a great team when he walked into KC".
Was Andy Reid a really good coach before 2018? Yes.
Were Travis Kelce/Tyreek Hill/Chris Jones awesome talents? Absolutely.
They won ZERO PLAYOFF GAMES together before Mahomes took over. Andy Reid won ONE playoff game from 2013-2017 and had a series of postseason choke jobs and meltdowns in that span.
They've won 17 postseason games and 3 Super Bowls since 2018.
9 of those postseason wins and 2 of those SB wins were without Tyreek Hill.
So what changed in their favor? I'm supposed to believe it's just a mere coincidence that the MOMENT Mahomes rose to power, the Chiefs became the most dominant franchise in the NFL unlike anything we've seen other than the Brady era Patriots??
Andy Reid deserves credit.
Travis Kelce deserves credit.
Chris Jones deserves credit.
Tyreek Hill deserves credit.
