After all the excitement of twitching rare birds and a couple of weeks on Scilly its back to the Sandbanks at Widnes today. Treated to 2 'new in' Caspian Gulls.... 1st winter and 2nd winter birds. 5 Yellow legged Gulls....4 adults and a 1st winter also #Birding #Cheshire #Gulls

The Rufous Tailed Robin had me running over to Flamborough, Yorkshire. A great day with Iggy and fortunately a successful twitch. This mega rarity is so elusive as it creeps around the floor of this little valley but 6 hours effort paid off #Birding #Yorkshire #Rufoustailedrobin

A day trip to Tresco today. Common and Black Redstart, yellow browed warbler, spoonbill and 1st year surf scoter. A reed bunting was a trip tick on Peninnis Head earlier taking my Ebird trip list to 100 #birding #Scilly #Century

Great to see 3 Avocet on the Mersey sandbanks this morning. A good selection of Yellow-legged Gulls with 2 adults, 2nd winter and a 1st winter. The regular adult Caspian Gull also #birding #Cheshire #gulls

Spent the day at Marshside RSPB on the Sefton coast. A lovely juvenile Pallid Harrier and juvenile Hen Harrier were hunting Crossens outer Marsh. 12 spoonbills flew over south. Merlin, Peregrine, Marsh Harrier, Buzzard and Kestrel also #Birding #Merseyside #Pallid #Harriers

A Leach's petrel sort of day..not a classic but a few birds around. 1 on the River Mersey at 8.15 and 1 at Leasowe gunsite 12.30 . A Fulmar on the Mersey also was a top bird. Arctic and common tern also #birding #Merseyside #Leach's
