The University of Arkansas just launched the 1st U.S. based injectable BPC-157 Randomized Controlled Trial for tissue healing. They’re studying post-rotator cuff surgery healing through objective measures like strength testing, MRI, and range of motion. Also patient reported questionnaires on recovery (PROMs). This is what the science community and physicians needed. Enrollment starts Early 2027. First data likely to be seen Early 2028. I will keep you updated. clinicaltrials.gov/study/NCT… #bpc #bpc157 #peptide #peptides #science #research

One of the world's biggest cancer conferences is happening right now. Here are 5 breakthroughs they're talking about: 1. The world's leading cause of cancer death (lung cancer) now has a therapy that cut the risk of death by 58%, moving median survival from 12.7 to 21.1 months (small cell lung cancer). 2. A new personalized therapy for Melanoma can train the immune system in cancer patients and alongside a common cancer med, it cut the risk of recurrence or death by 42%. 3. A therapy has been FDA approved to allow certain people with a subset of rectal cancers to skip chemo, radiation, and surgery. Around half of patients so far were cancer free over a year later. Colorectal cancer is the deadliest cancer in Americans under 50. 4. Chinese researchers presented data on a new therapy for breast cancer where it more than doubled the time before the cancer began to worsen. 5. Another huge therapy saw median survival increase by almost 50% in a specific mutated type of lung cancer, while also lowering decreasing severe side effects. (NSCLC type) See sources below.

5 major things just happened in medicine this week: 1. A breast cancer drug more than doubled the time before the cancer started growing again in a Phase 3 trial (16.4 mo vs 6.8 mo). 2. The world’s deadliest cancer (lung) was treated with a new therapy that cut the risk of death by 58% in a Phase 3 trial. 3. Chronic Hepatitis B now has a functional cure for certain patients after accelerated FDA-approval. 4. Retatrutide put up huge numbers at a sleep medicine conference showing it cut the amount of sleep apnea events in half on the highest doses, in a Phase 3 trial. 5. The leading cause of cancer death under 50 (colorectal, here specifically rectal) now has an FDA approved therapy allowing certain patients to skip chemo, radiation, and surgery.

10/24/26: The world's deadliest cancer has just seen a therapy succeed in a pivotal Phase 3 clinical trial. Tarlatamab + durvalumab cut the risk of death by 58% vs durvalumab alone for small-cell lung cancer (extensive-stage). Currently, just 3.6% of these patients are alive after 5 years.

Importantly, this trial didn’t show longer survival yet. Researchers are still unsure if this prolongs survival because the data is so fresh. What’s pretty amazing though is the time before the cancer started growing again: median of 16.4 months on trastuzumab rezetecan vs 6.8 months on chemo. As of today, hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is now first line treatment for prominent menopause symptoms, according to one of the LARGEST medical organizations. The American College of Physicians (ACP) just added new clinical guidelines for treatment around hot flashes and night sweats for menopause. They also included second line and third line treatments as well. This is a HUGE day for women all across the United States. Long overdue. acpjournals.org/doi/10.7326/…

Just realized I posted a TikTok over 3 years ago about SLU-PP-332 before everyone got all over it. Still no Phase 1 trial though lol. SLU-PP-332’s effects summed up in 3 points (as shown in mice): 1. Increasing mitochondrial (energy) production via receptors in the nucleus 2. Increase in Type IIa oxidative muscle fibers (longer workouts via more fatigue-resistant muscle) 3. Weight loss via beta oxidation of fat + increased insulin sensitivity That being said it’s nowhere close to FDA approval. Just cool to talk about these things :)
