INDEPENDENT NATIONAL ELECTORAL COMMISSION
PRESS STATEMENT
UPDATE ON THE DISPLAY AND PUBLICATION OF THE PRELIMINARY REGISTER OF VOTERS FOR THE 2027 GENERAL ELECTION
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) wishes to provide an update on the display of the Preliminary Register of Voters ahead of the 2027 General Election.
2. In accordance with Section 19 of the Electoral Act, 2026, the Commission conducted the physical display of the Register at Registration Areas nationwide from 9th to 15th October, 2026, providing registered voters the opportunity to inspect their particulars and submit claims and objections as prescribed by law.
3. The Commission has taken note of the concerns expressed by Nigerians and other stakeholders regarding the desirability of making the Register accessible through its online platform in addition to the physical display already conducted.
4. Accordingly, and in furtherance of its commitment to transparency, accessibility and public confidence in the electoral process, the Commission has decided to make available on its online platform display.inecnigeria.org the same Preliminary Register of Voters earlier displayed at the Registration Areas.
5. This additional measure complements the physical display already undertaken and is intended to facilitate wider public access to the Register. Meanwhile, the Commission continues to process claims and objections arising from the exercise in accordance with the Electoral Act, 2026, preparatory to the certification and publication of the Final Register of Voters on 15th December 2026.
6. The Commission appreciates the continued interest and constructive engagement of Nigerians and stakeholders and reiterates its commitment to transparency, accountability and the faithful implementation of the Electoral Act, 2026 in delivering credible elections.

The Swiss authorities have confirmed that the patient and her spouse arrived safely in Switzerland today. She is receiving care at Geneva University Hospitals @hug_ge, while her spouse is in isolation at University Hospital Zurich @Unispital_USZ.
In our telephone conversation, Federal Councillor Elisabeth Baume-Schneider conveyed Switzerland’s appreciation for the care provided by Nigerian health professionals and the close cooperation between our authorities and @WHO that made the evacuation possible.
I thank the clinical and public-health teams in Nigeria and Switzerland, @NCDCgov, @BAG_OFSP_UFSP, @EDI_DFI and @WHONigeria for their cooperation, and wish the patient continued recovery.
Here in Nigeria, contact monitoring, investigation of alerts and other containment measures continue, with support from @AfricaCDC and @WHOAFRO. We will provide regular updates through @NCDCgov and @Fmohnigeria.

This is sad but I don’t think it’s about classism. When I was living in Somolu, I had 20-24 hours light (band A) and my friend in the same vicinity was barely seeing light 2-3 hours daily. Same Somolu, same Abiodun axis. I don’t know how it works but it’s not a class thing.
Mine is likely an electric vehicle
Your next Tokunbo Car might just be a Chinese vehicle and nobody has told Ladipo yet.
Chinese brands just took 12.7% of European car registrations for the quarter.
Japanese brands took 11.9%.
That is the first time China has outsold Japan over a full quarter in Europe, & five years ago Chinese brands were sitting at about 1% of that market.
Dataforce figures, carried by Bloomberg, with BYD & Chery leading the push.
Don't forget how our own market works.
The general populace barely buy new cars in Nigeria. We buy what Europe & America had already used. So whatever is rolling out of a showroom in Europe this morning is what shows up in a Lagos Tokunbo lot few years to come.
The dealers will be fine. It is the Mechanic I am thinking about.
A 2014 Corolla can be sorted by a man who has been listening to that same engine since he was an apprentice, with a spanner & no laptop. A sealed battery pack & a diagnostic port that wants a subscription is a completely different trade.
The cars are changing. Is the workforce changing with them?
Meanwhile we keep announcing an automotive policy every few years like we are about to start building cars ourselves. We are not building. We are standing at the end of somebody else’s line & taking whatever falls off.
seh you get ?

You people will have people in military, police or intelligence and start being reckless up and down.
You don't know how much some of them despise you; they know when you reach out, it's going to be some silly thing. You never reach out to them share good news or money before.

I Confirm that, with my approval, earlier this morning, the index case for Nigeria’s first imported Ebola virus disease departed Abuja for Switzerland. The index patient was clinically much improved, stable, conscious, communicating, and her clinical laboratory test results closing towards baseline. This does not mean she is not still infectious, hence the strict protocols in place.
The patient was evacuated along with her spouse who has remained asymptomatic.
I thank all the various clinical staff for the high quality care they provided the patient as well as the public health personnel who ensured the evacuation was carried out in line with best public health measures for such evacuations.
We will provide further updates later this afternoon after the patient and her spouse lands successfully in their destination.
All public health measures are continuing to ensure successful containment of the imported virus. I urge Nigerians to remain vigilant and rely on information from credible sources.
BREAKING NEWS
REPORT: EBOLA PATIENT EVACUATED FROM NIGERIA VIA AIR AMBULANCE
The index patient diagnosed with Ebola virus in Nigeria has been evacuated from the country early this morning through an air ambulance at the private jet wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, ARISE News sources informed us.
ARISE News was tipped off by a news source that the patient who is a woman and wife of a Swiss diplomat in Nigeria would be flown out of Nigeria by 6am this morning through a medivac plane which was already at the airport waiting to evacuate her.
Our crew deployed to the General Aviation Terminal later obtained pictures of the arrival of a convoy of vehicular ambulance from Abuja city centre with diplomatic vehicles in the entourage. The three vehicle convoy had an international Agency vehicle entering the Private Jet section of the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport.
Airport officials cordoned off the private wing of the airport but ARISE News eventually obtained videos of a medivac plane with crews eventually evacuating the sick passenger suspected to be the Ebola index case due to the special nature of the medical evacuation.
A source told ARISE News that the Federal Government will make the announcement of the medical evacuation only after the plane has taken off and exited the Nigerian airspace.

I don’t understand why I’m getting phone number authentication codes to activate an account I did not request to open with your bank. If you allow that human being open that account and it’s used for any legal or illegal purposes, I’m suing your bank.
