Corinthians president Osmar Stabile has responded to Memphis Depay’s $20 million lawsuit against the club, calling it “absurd” and “irrelevant.” He also accused the footballer of being greedy.

Osmar🗣️ “It’s So pathetic, Depay joined us as a free agent from Atlético Madrid on a two-year deal. We gave him a five-star hotel at €48k a month plus feeding, and €400k monthly salary, Which is €11m a year. Then at contract renewal, he demands €15m yearly, stadium access keeping 50% of revenue, and a share of FIFA Club World Cup prize money even when he’s no longer playing for the club. That’s Absurd. So we terminated his contract. Now he wants $20m in court? Pathetic. He was treated well, and this is how he repays us."
