FACT: The annual funding Israel receives from the US amounts to less than one-tenth of 1% of the federal budget. Less than 1/10th of 1%.
FACT: That annual funding would cover only a few hours of federal health care spending. A few hours.
Yet politicians who specialize in scapegoating would have you believe that Israel is responsible for America’s affordability crisis.
Like every form of scapegoating before it, it is a dangerous lie.

Replying to @bradlander
Isn’t it interesting how attacks on Israelis always seem to come with a “both sides” explanation, but when Israel causes harm, suddenly the responsibility only belongs to one side?

The Palestinian Authority will be giving pensions to the families of the terrorists who tried to murder Jews in Judea and Samaria today, but don't worry, Brad Lander is on the scene to pick more olives and blame Israel for trying to protect their citizens.
Yeruchim Silber retweeted
This was not about harvesting olives.
It was about harvesting headlines.
Brad Lander’s latest stunt is nothing more than a calculated political provocation.
Lander traveled to a foreign country, deliberately entered a restricted security area, and participated in an unauthorized activity without the required coordination.
What makes this stunt even more outrageous is that his own team contacted Israeli representatives in the United States ahead of his visit and was explicitly informed that proper coordination with the relevant authorities was required.
He chose to ignore those instructions.
At a time of heightened security tensions, Israeli security forces have a responsibility to protect lives, prevent dangerous incidents, and maintain public order.
Had anyone been injured as a result of his reckless political theater, Lander would undoubtedly have been among the first to demand that Israeli authorities intervene and provide protection.
Brad Lander came looking for a confrontation. Now he is pretending to be its victim.

A tremendous day for education in New York!
Thank you to @GovKathyHochul and her team for following through on their commitment to opt in to the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit program. This decision opens the door to millions of dollars in additional educational resources and opportunities for students in public and nonpublic schools alike, without taking a dollar away from public education.
@AgudahNews is deeply grateful to the Governor and her team for recognizing the importance of this opportunity and ensuring that New York's children and families will be able to benefit.
A special thank you to our partners at @NYSCatholicConf and @TeachNYS for their tireless advocacy and collaboration in helping make this a reality. This is what can be accomplished when we work together for the benefit of all students!

The world demonizes Israel 365 days a year.
Perhaps, for just one day—October 7th—the critics of Israel could take a vacation from their hysterical hatred of the world’s only Jewish State and find it within themselves to express condolences for the thousands of Israelis murdered, maimed, mutilated, raped, and abducted at the hands of Hamas.
Thank you @GovKathyHochul for your moving words. Your voice against antisemitism and all forms of hate has been a powerful one even prior to the October 7th attacks. And we will never forget your solidarity visit to Israel right after that dark day despite dealing with your own personal tragedy
It’s hard to fathom that it has been three years since the October 7 Hamas massacre. Three years since the deadliest day for the Jewish people since the Holocaust.
The pain of that dark day has not faded. But neither has the strength, resilience and enduring hope of the Jewish people.
Today, we remember the innocent lives stolen, stand with the survivors and the families forever changed, and pray for a lasting peace.

Agudath Israel of America is encouraged by the launch of Mayor Mamdani’s Strategy to Combat Antisemitism, and Mayor Mamdani’s statement, released yesterday. The Agudah applauds this acknowledgement of rising antisemitism, the significant work inherent in the plan’s compilation, and its inclusion of several positive features – all critical elements for addressing an epidemic of hate in the city with the largest population of Jews outside of Israel.
That said, many Jews, and especially those represented by Agudah, will find this plan lacking.
Orthodox Jews will not be impressed by an allocation of $1 million to protect nonprofit organizations and houses of worship while making a $2.5 million capital investment in The Center for New Jewish Culture “to support the next generation of Jewish artists.” Nor will they feel seen by an acknowledgment of Leonard Bernstein, Katz’s Deli, and Kleinfeld Bridal, as singled out by the mayor’s listing of Jewish contributions to NYC.
Visibly identifiable Jews comprise the primary victims of antisemitism. We need real safety. We need security funding and uncompromising enforcement; unequivocal condemnation of antisemitism wherever and by whichever political group it is espoused; an end to the administration’s stoking of Jew-hatred through its obsession with criticizing Israel; and a complete cessation of pandering to antisemitic personas.

Agudath Israel of America urges all to pray for the son of @yechielleiter, Neria Leiter, Neria Dov ben Chana, who was critically wounded in a terrorist ramming attack today, and is in need of a refuah shelaima, b'soch she'ar cholei amo Yisroel.
I am grateful to the IDF, to the medical team at Shaare Zedek who are now fighting to save the life of Neria Dov ben Chana, and for the prayers of the people of Israel.
I believe in the power of prayer, and I believe that when the people of Israel unite, miracles happen. Neria needs a miracle.
Neria continued to serve in the reserves after losing his older brother, Moshe Yedidya Leiter, of blessed memory. Since October 7th, he has served hundreds of days in the reserves on multiple fronts.
Palestinian terrorism seeks to uproot the people of Israel from their land.
They choose death - we choose life.
Somehow I don't think @bradlander and his "rabbi" friends didn't think it necessary to say a yizkor for Natanel Shakron a father of six gunned down in a wanton terrorist attack on the eve of Yom Kippur because it doesn't fit their phony narrative

The new Federal Scholarship Tax Credit Program has the potential to bring hundreds of millions of dollars in scholarship funding to New York families, including much-needed assistance for families struggling with the cost of a yeshiva education.
@GovKathyHochul has already announced her intention for New York to participate, and we are grateful for that commitment. With a significant opposition campaign now underway, it is important that she also hear from the many New Yorkers who support moving forward.
@Agudahnews is proud to join scholarshipsforallny.com/, a statewide coalition of education and faith-based organizations, community leaders, advocates, parents, and families working together to make sure those voices are heard.
Please take a moment to add your name, thank Governor Hochul for her commitment, and show your support for bringing this historic opportunity to New York families.
