Woke up and was very happy to see that the auctions for @rhizome 30th anniversary went great. We need more initiatives like Rhizome in digital art. Opening Tonight in New York: WEBSITES WEBSITES WEBSITES! 🕕 6–9 PM 📍 39 Great Jones St, NY WEBSITES WEBSITES WEBSITES! (WWW!) celebrates the website as an artistic medium, bringing together twenty artists for Rhizome’s 30th anniversary. Without attempting a definitive history of Net Art, the exhibition explores thirty years of our changing relationship with the internet through browser experiences that invite experimentation, intimacy and critique. Presented physically in New York City and online, the exhibition offers two ways to explore the works. In the gallery, loose thematic and aesthetic connections encourage unexpected discoveries, while varied hardware shapes how visitors encounter each piece. Online, four themes provide distinct paths through the exhibition: ⭑ Anarchy ⭑ Abstraction ⭑ Poetic Computing ⭑ Ghosts ↓ Let's explore in depth the four of them.

An evolving choreography of characters, making and unmaking a grid of windows without pause. Andreas Gysin's (@andreasgysin) Lattice (2025) builds evolving geometric patterns from the characters of the extended ASCII set. Each screen shows only a fragment of a much larger computational surface that runs on beyond the frame — at HALLEN 07, spanning six vertical LED panels, each 2 × 3.5 metres.
