BREAKING: According to my sources: the proposal by #Trump consists of 3 stages:
1) a ceasefire
2) ELECTIONS in Ukraine
3) signing of a final agreement.
This is complete fulfillment of all #Putin desires.
Especially the election part is a gift by Trump to Putin. Putin hates @ZelenskyyUa ‘cuz he defeated his plans to subjugate #Ukraine. And dreams to get a pro-Russia candidate after the exhausting war. For Trump it would also be handy to get a president who would be so weak that he would sing off all the Ukrainian resources.
It must be very clear to us, Europeans, that elections MUST take place AFTER the final stage. Not before it. Also because the final agreement cannot be the result of a pro-Russia candidate possibly elected under stage 2)

I spoke with Polish Prime Minister @donaldtusk. We discussed the conditions needed for a lasting and real peace in Ukraine and agreed that no negotiations with Putin can begin without a united position from Ukraine, Europe, and the U.S.
I informed the Prime Minister about my conversation with President Trump, and we discussed key messages and the need to coordinate the positions of all Europeans to achieve successful outcomes for the whole of Europe.
I emphasized that Ukraine must negotiate from a position of strength, with strong and reliable security guarantees, and that NATO membership would be the most cost-effective for partners. Another key guarantee is serious investment in Ukraine’s defense industry.
I also warned world leaders against trusting Putin’s claims of readiness to end the war.

Zu glauben, dass die #AfD wegen ein paar AfDkritischer Sätzchen sich die Chance entgehen lässt, die CDU nachhaltig zu diskreditieren, ist genau die Naivität, die es bei Konservativen braucht, um sich von Rechtsextremen moralisch und politisch kaputtmachen zu lassen.

I’ve been reporting from the ground for 10 years, and I’ve never seen anything even close to what I witnessed today and yesterday.
This feels like a turning point in #GeorgiaProtests. I have never seen the Georgian people so unyielding. Just last week, I wrote that the smaller crowds in the streets compared to spring meant nothing — except that the anger hadn’t gone anywhere. Instead, it was simmering, growing stronger, waiting for the regime’s next mistake to erupt with even greater force.
Today’s riot was dispersed so many times, in such brutal ways, that I’ve lost count. So many people were bloodied. So many were detained.
Yet even now, Rustaveli Avenue is filled with people — beaten, bruised, exhausted, disappointed, and fiercely angry — but still holding EU flags with pride. Because we believe, that Europe is our home, and we will not surrender it at any cost.
Help us. Don’t let us lose this country to the Russians. No one has fought harder for it than we have.
