The new guys must understand one thing very clearly: if you do not fight for Hungary in Brussels, the Brusselians will walk all over you. Giving up our patriotic position and surrendering national sovereignty for money or political approval would be a historic mistake. Foreign elites must not be allowed to decide our future for us! 🇭🇺

Through Brussels, we have received an indication from Ukraine that they are ready to restore oil deliveries via the Friendship pipeline as early as Monday, provided that Hungary lifts its blockade of the €90 billion EU loan. Hungary’s position has not changed: no oil = no money. Once oil deliveries are restored, we will no longer stand in the way of approving the loan. The disbursement of the loan does not impose a financial burden or obligation on Hungary.

A complete renewal is needed. An era has come to an end. We will reorganise, rebuild, and return stronger. I will continue to serve our patriotic community wherever I am needed. 🇭🇺
🇭🇺 @PM_ViktorOrban: Those who supported us should be proud. They voted for a proven force with real achievements and the ability to lead Hungary forward.
🛡️ @PM_ViktorOrban: We will never cheer against our own country. We are rooting for our country to survive, to defend its independence, its sovereignty and to find answers to the questions we face.
🇭🇺@PM_ViktorOrban: We are evaluating the election, meeting our communities, and preparing for renewal. I've already given out tasks, for example the tasks of the complete renewal of Fidesz, or the timetable for that has been set, and the Presidency has convened the national electoral committee for 28 April. I am sure I will propose and support that we convene our renewal congress.
🇭🇺 @PM_ViktorOrban: The right-wing must undergo a full renewal
📍Following the elections, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán gave his first extended interview, outlining the reasons behind the result and setting the direction for the future of the national side.
⚠️ Speaking after the vote, Prime Minister Orbán described the outcome as a clear signal that the current political structure cannot continue unchanged. The right-wing community in its current form cannot go on, a full renewal is needed, he said, adding that a political era has come to an end. At the same time, he made clear that he intends to remain active and that the community can continue to rely on him.
📊 Reflecting on the campaign, Prime Minister Orbán acknowledged that warning signs had appeared early. He noted that turnout exceeded expectations and that early votes broke against the government, contributing to the final result. He described the aftermath as emotionally difficult, saying he experienced pain and emptiness, and has since focused on work as a way forward.
🛡️ Despite the defeat, Prime Minister Orbán urged supporters to remain composed and dignified. He emphasized that the past 16 years brought significant achievements, including family support measures, utility cost reductions, and housing programs, which he described as national achievements.”These, he said, remain a source of pride and must be defended if necessary.
🤝 Addressing voters who supported the opposition, Prime Minister Orbán said he does not consider their decision inherently wrong, expressing hope that their expectations will be fulfilled. At the same time, he stressed that the national side will never act against Hungary’s interests and will support positive developments while opposing what he sees as harmful policies.
⚖️ On the campaign itself, Prime Minister Orbán framed the election as a contest between two messages: one warning of coming challenges and advocating stability, and another calling for change. He acknowledged that the latter proved more convincing, adding that the reasons for this cannot be fully understood in a matter of days.
👤 Prime Minister Orbán also accepted personal responsibility for the outcome, stating that he had approached the campaign with honesty and took voters seriously. He highlighted the scale of effort from supporters and campaign workers, emphasizing that the result was not due to a lack of commitment.
🔄 Looking ahead, he outlined a process of internal restructuring. A party assembly and congress will be convened, with the aim of achieving renewal by early summer. He stressed that this includes rethinking the broader national community, including civic groups and affiliated networks.
🏛️ A key element of this renewal will be the formation of a more effective parliamentary group. Prime Minister Orbán said that a capable, hard-hitting group must be created, which will likely require new personnel and significant internal changes. He indicated that he supports substantial transformation within the parliamentary ranks.
💰 He also addressed criticism related to wealth and lifestyle within the governing elite, acknowledging that perceptions of excess may have contributed to the result. He reiterated that corruption is not tolerated and warned that continued displays of luxury would be politically damaging.
🇭🇺 In closing, Prime Minister Orbán reaffirmed his connection to the national community. We belong together, he said, adding that he is ready to serve in any role required - whether organizing, leading, or supporting the team. He emphasized that the coming period will determine the future structure of the right, concluding that the future belongs to patriots.

The work begins now. We will regroup and continue fighting for the Hungarian people!
🙏 @PM_ViktorOrban: More than 2.25 million Hungarians supported Fidesz-KDNP. Thank you for your trust. We will regroup, strengthen our community, and continue working to defend what we have built together.
🇭🇺 @PM_ViktorOrban: The election result, although not yet complete, is understandable and clear, painful for us, but unequivocal. The opportunity and responsibility of governing were not given to us, I congratulated the winning party.
📞 The Prime Minister personally called Péter Magyar to congratulate him on the victory, and thanked Fidesz–KDNP voters, including those beyond the borders, emphasizing they can continue to count on the alliance.
💬 We will serve our homeland and the Hungarian nation even from opposition, he said, adding that 2.5 million voters will not be abandoned. We never, ever give up.

Hungary has proven that there is another path:
1️⃣ We can stop illegal migration.
2️⃣ We can stand up for families & our way of life.
3️⃣ We can choose peace over war.
Our sovereignty cannot be taken from us. We will shape our own future.
This is Hungary. A proud nation. 🇭🇺
❌ @domotor_cs: Continuous reports are being filed over attempted election fraud linked to the Tisza party. Based on Fidesz submissions, 639 cases of electoral violations have been established, with 74 police reports currently underway.
🚫 These cases include cases that Tisza-affiliated candidates may have bought votes, and that company executives pressured employees to vote for Tisza. Other reports point to misleading campaign activities and even incidents where an elderly citizen’s ID was hidden by a younger relative to prevent them from voting.
⚖️ The overwhelming majority of these violations are tied to Tisza. They cry fraud – but they are the ones committing it. We must act together against abuses.
