Microsoft's Copilot built a game where each frame is generated by an AI world model.
You really can just do things now.
Cursor + Claude just built a VOIP system for my AI MMO (sound on).
Clients encode audio into byte arrays and send to the server, server relays it to nearby clients. An audio buffer ensures smooth playback.
64 kbps and < 200ms latency
The left client is playing the audio. The chirping is the NPCs streaming audio generated on the server. The solid tone at the end is from the right client. It creates a tone client-side and relays it through the server.
This did take a lot of time to get working, but it ended up being a lot more complex than I thought. Streaming audio and having it playback smoothly was a challenge. Claude helped design a nice buffer system where the client queues up audio packets and then stitches them back together.
This entire project has taken ~3 days work, truly insane.
100% of art is AI generated from Retrodiffusion (by @RealAstropulse). Clients can also request new animations and it syncs with the network!

The potential for a fully user-generated MMO using AI is insane.
Decided to make a multiplayer sandbox to test the new rd animation model
So far I have:
- real-time animation generation from client packets via API
- sprites are saved to db for fast retrieval later
- realtime multiplayer sync for animations and world updates
Might add proximity voice and a minigame and release this to the public

🎮 The Camps
The Camp is where you interact with your Bitmate to earn friendship points, allowing you to teach them words/phrases and change their nickname.
Interactions have cooldowns is Feed (24h), Socialize (48h), Play (120h).
There are 7 main regions and 21 sub-regions in the game, with 6,008 Bitmates in sub-regions.
Use Atlas to see your Bitmate's origin and claim land.
