I'm still cooking. Here are the stats since my last check-in on Oct. 8. Spend has increased (due to iterations on a concept that had good spend but failed to convert), and CPA has decreased. I also added ROAS. Still learning. Still improving.

I waited all day, just for the right moment after dinner, to sit down and watch this. Btw all this information is resold by the gurus in a $2,000-a-month course
How to do manual research for your creatives. (90min larp)

These fucking kids drink energy drinks and write terrible briefs. Us real people make ourselves a cup of coffee while we gaze at the mountains, and then we'll get to writing

I've really been grinding these past few weeks. There's no better time of year to grind than now.

Second month as a Jr. Creative Strategist. I've been learning a ton, cutting back on AI and prioritizing using my fucking brain (as @KevinCreatives_ suggests) This is the spend my ads have generated over the last 30 days. Although a single concept accounts for 50% of the spend

I've been developing a concept for each of the ads I create. Right now, I'd rather create fewer ads with high intention than junk volume

I don't see the logic behind being a CS that prioritizes junk volume. Something will inevitably work; after all, it's statistics. But you don't know why it worked

Do your research. Use your head. At least 5 hooks. Keep going

One of the main and MOST SERIOUS problems with video editors is that they treat all UGC concepts as if they were the same. Person speaking > Add B-roll > Some subtitles > An end card. And that’s the problem: they don’t know their audience. Study. Apply. Repeat
74
A lot of people get caught up in the statistic that “well, but a lot of people watch videos without sound.” And I just want to say: stop fooling yourselves—an ad with bad audio and good visuals has no chance of getting any spend

Insane mini-VSL for older people
"If your hands and fingers are making everyday life harder, you need to see this." MLab is printing. The hook does the work most arthritis ads skip: it names the daily moment. Not "joint pain." Hands and fingers making everyday life harder. Opening a jar. Holding a phone. Buttoning a shirt. The reader fills in the visual before the ad even loads the product. Then the emoji slides in (🖐️) as a visual punctuation mark and the copy stacks the symptoms by name. Swollen knuckles. Stiffness. The ad is a checklist the reader is already running through silently. Steal this for any chronic-pain offer: lead with the action the buyer can no longer do comfortably. Pain is abstract. Lost moments are not. 81 active ads. Strong DR play on a forever-buyer demo. 👀 Full ad: app.gethookd.ai/share/ad/998… I use @GetHookdAI to spy on 80M+ winning ads.

Beautiful hook tbh
I analyzed 40+ heart health ads on Facebook this week. Here's what's actually printing. The #1 hook pattern: exposing a lie on the label. "Many brands advertise '8,000 FU' on the front — but quietly split that dose across 3–4 capsules." Buyers already suspect they're being ripped off. Name the exact mechanism and you're not selling, you're validating a paranoia they showed up with. Pattern #2: dose-dependency framing. Instead of "our supplement works," it's "if the concentration is too low, the mechanism simply doesn't activate." Turns every competitor into evidence for your pitch. Pattern #3: the family-history close. "Because family history leaves no room for guesswork." One line and every 45+ reader with a dad on cholesterol meds is reaching for their card. Healthletic is running this exact framework on their nattokinase. 41 days active and still scaling. In cardiovascular supplements, fear of being scammed beats fear of a heart attack. Every time. Full ad: app.gethookd.ai/share/ad/115… NOW GO FUCKING PRINT 🔥 I use @GetHookdAI to spy on 80M+ winning ads.

Don't brief this, don't brief that. Just say you don't want to pay someone for creative strategy work
