If your training isn’t focusing on 1 of these 4:
1. Walking less batters
2. Inducing weak contact
3. Striking out more batters
4. Improving health and longevity
you are wasting your time.
It’s really that simple.

Great advice from MLB HOF Pitcher Goose Gossage. Goose says the wind up engages the bigger stronger muscles and creates rhythm and timing. He also thinks arm injuries are up due to pitchers not using the wind up. Very insightful conversations with him this weekend. Great guy!

Our children will be capable of playing a more sophisticated and skillful style of play the moment we teach them to do so.
That is completely on us as coaches.
No excuses.
It happens when we make it happen. 👍

Think like a player, you'd definitely want these in your session... choice and challenge ✌🏼 session must haves! Thing that normally drops off the further you go in a pathway? Fun!

A prospect is no longer a prospect when they reach their ceiling.
At some point in your career, the switch flips from PROJECTION to PRODUCTION.
You go your entire childhood and teenage years being told how much potential you have. And how projectable you are.
And all of the sudden…your 60 time is irrelevant and your stolen base numbers better be good. And your exit velocities are irrelevant and you better put up power numbers. And your arm velocities are irrelevant and you better throw strikes.
At some point, people need to stop talking about your potential. And they should just flat out say, “That guy is a good player.”

Players...before you start tripping over yourself chasing exposure.
1. BE GOOD ENOUGH
2. BE STRONG ENOUGH
3. BE ATHLETIC ENOUGH
Go watch college games and ask yourself...who's spot would I take? Who am I better than? Where would I fit in?
You better be GOOD, STRONG and ATHLETIC

Take advantage of every moment Lionel Messi has left. We are all blessed, & now Inter Miami is as well. With two more goals for Messi, the score was 4-0 tonight. Hat tip to Busquets for that assist as well.

“I did a full mechanical overhaul this offseason.”
Athletes love saying they have a new delivery or a new swing.
You don’t need something completely new! Most just need to make a few small changes to get where they want to be.

This needs to be said! Parents...if your son is undersized as a kid (little league-youth age) and is a "tireless worker" and "competitive by nature".... stay patient, he's going to pass the majority of early bloomers! It can actually be a big-time advantage in the long run.
