🇺🇦🇷🇺“Sahip olduğunuz her günün kıymetini bilin.” Ukrayna cephesinde Rus birlikleri tarafından kuşatılan beş Ukraynalı askerin kaydettiği son video… “Her tarafımız sarılmış durumda. Sonuna kadar dayanıyoruz. Hepinizi çok seviyorum.” Ağlamamak için direnen bir ses, silah arkadaşlarına son kez bakan gözler ve belki de bir daha göremeyecekleri sevdiklerine söylenen birkaç cümle… “Sahip olduğunuz her günün kıymetini bilin.”

Putin has lost a friend who let RT work from Belgrade after the EU banned it, and who invited Russia's FSB to investigate his own police. 🧵[1/8] Here is why Putin will miss Aleksandar Vučić after Serbians voted him out.

President Trump and I are on the same side when we speak about ending Russia’s war, but we see different instruments for achieving that goal. My philosophy is that Putin is a deeply Soviet person, both in his reality and mentality. We know it because my generation was born in the Soviet Union. When Putin is lying, we feel it. We were neighbors with the Russians for so many years. That's why I think we understand the Russians more clearly than the United States. The United States, considering global security, can discuss with the Russians different topics. But we understand the mentality of both Putin and the Russian people, their soldiers and civilians. When they are ready to do something, and when they fear Putin because they know they can be imprisoned. If they don’t go and kill Ukrainians, Putin will sanction them in his own way. Therefore, President Trump supported us on some topics, while on others we have different views. From an interview with The Sun. (1/3)

"There’s no news about Patriot missiles, and frankly, nobody is even asking about production licenses for them anymore. Interestingly enough, we were never granted licenses to produce these missiles because our "partners" in the US fear that if we scale up production, a bunch of countries will no longer depend on the US—and they can't let that happen at any cost! Someone is terrified for their profits, while we're over here fearing for our lives. Such is life." - Popular Ukrainian Blogger Associated with Air Defense's Vanek.

🇺🇦🇩🇰 UKRAINE TAKES FIRST STEP TOWARDS ITS OWN SATELLITE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK Ukraine's HIMERA and Denmark's GomSpace have confirmed that OBRIA NANO, the first test satellite for Ukraine's future sovereign communications network, is now operating in orbit. Key details: • Launched aboard SpaceX's Transporter-18 mission on 1 October. • Currently undergoing in-orbit testing to validate technologies for the future OBRIA constellation. • Operated under Ukrainian control. • The long-term goal is nationwide satellite communications coverage, complementing European networks. • Future plans include manufacturing satellites and ground terminals in Ukraine. The strategic significance is substantial. Ukraine currently relies heavily on foreign-controlled satellite communications infrastructure. OBRIA aims to reduce that dependence and give Kyiv greater control over a critical wartime capability. This is still a technology demonstration, not an operational national network. But it marks an important first step towards Ukrainian technological sovereignty in space.

⚡️ Wow! Ukrainian forces launched drones toward Moscow while Putin was attending a summit there As the dictator addressed the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), explosions echoed across Moscow, car alarms went off, and monitoring channels warned not only of UAV threats but also of small balloons in the air. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin claimed that 16 drones had been intercepted on their approach to the capital, prompting several rounds of temporary restrictions at Moscow's airports. Residents also reported explosions in western Moscow and the surrounding Moscow region (Barvikha, Rodniki, and Govorovo), The Moscow Times reports.

🇺🇦 🇺🇲 The confrontation inside Trump's Ukraine peace negotiations is now coming into focus. Le Monde reports that Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner spent nearly three hours pitching Ukraine's presidential chief of staff, Kyrylo Budanov, a postwar economic arrangement built around restoring Russian oil and gas flows to Europe through Ukrainian pipelines. The meeting took place on October 9 at the Shell Bay golf club in Florida. Witkoff presented the proposal as a regional prosperity plan: Ukraine would collect transit revenues, Europe would receive cheaper energy, and Russia would regain access to commercial routes disrupted by the war. Budanov saw something fundamentally different. According to a witness cited by Le Monde, he objected that the arrangement would recreate Ukraine's dependence on Moscow. “Our model is not Belarus, but Poland!” he reportedly replied. The meeting was interrupted, and Budanov called Zelensky. When talks resumed, news arrived that Trump had announced a separate agreement with Putin involving Russian diesel. Le Monde reports that an irritated Witkoff then demanded that the Ukrainians accept the arrangement and stop striking Russian oil refineries, arguing that the attacks endangered the wider world. A source familiar with the Ukrainian delegation described its members as exceptionally distressed by the encounter. The account adds a revealing dimension to the commercial negotiations we have been tracking. The proposed Lukoil asset sale, Novatek's involvement in an Alaska LNG venture, the broader US-Russia list of business opportunities reported by the Financial Times, and now the proposed restoration of Russian energy transit through Ukraine all point to the prominence of energy deals in Washington's diplomatic approach. These are separate proposals, with different participants and legal circumstances. But Le Monde's reporting exposes the strategic disagreement underlying them. For Witkoff, restoring commercial flows appears to be part of the mechanism for producing a peace settlement. For Budanov, according to the account, those same flows threaten to restore Moscow's economic leverage over Ukraine. The reported exchange also raises a question about sequencing: why was Kyiv being pressed to stop attacking Russian refineries while Russia continued striking Ukrainian energy infrastructure? Le Monde's reconstruction relies on accounts of a private meeting. The reported exchanges have not been independently confirmed by the participants. Source: Le Monde

MORE: Putin reportedly provided Stubb and Store with his assessment of the current situation in Ukraine and explained the war’s “root causes,” the Kremlin’s shorthand for Russia’s maximalist war demands that include a puppet regime in Ukraine and retrograding the membership of NATO states that joined the alliance since 1997 — effectively granting Russia a veto over NATO internal policies and curtailing the sovereignty of many European states to choose to join alliances. Putin also reportedly told Stubb and Store that a peace agreement must recognize the “realities on the ground,” another Russian rhetorical line used to demand the recognition of occupied Ukrainian territory as part of Russia as a precondition to any ceasefire or peace agreement in Ukraine. A source close to the Kremlin claimed that Putin’s statement about “ground realities” signifies that Russia would not compromise on its goal of seizing all of Donbas. Putin has repeatedly outlined Russia’s demands that extend far beyond Ukraine’s Fortress Belt and Donetsk Oblast and may include the entire territory of Ukraine.
NEW: Russian President Vladimir Putin used his October 27 call with Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store to reiterate Moscow’s longstanding demands in Ukraine and rearticulate Moscow’s claims that NATO expansion is among the “root causes” of the war. Putin also stated that “root causes” must be resolved as preconditions for any future peace negotiations. Other Key Takeaways: Russia and Ukraine began observing a limited ceasefire in Russian-occupied Oleshky, Kherson Oblast, on October 27 to facilitate humanitarian aid deliveries and evacuate civilians from the settlement. Both sides are reportedly abiding by the ceasefire terms as of this writing. It remains unclear how the Russian authorities will treat Ukrainians evacuated from Oleshky and whether Russian occupation authorities will provide the residents a legitimate and duress-free choice to return to Ukrainian government-controlled Ukraine. The Russian 26th Tank Regiment (47th Tank Division, 1st Guards Tank Army [GTA], Moscow Military District) operating in the Kupyansk direction is reportedly planning to disband several platoons to create an unmanned aircraft system (UAS) company. Neither Russian nor Ukrainian forces advanced on October 27. Russian forces launched an unspecified number of Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles and 280 drones against Ukraine overnight.

🇺🇦🇫🇷 FRENCH AIR DEFENSE SYSTEMS ARE HUNTING RUSSIAN TARGETS OVER UKRAINE Ukraine’s 1039th Air Defense Regiment has released an extensive compilation showing its French-supplied Crotale surface-to-air missile systems engaging Russian aerial targets. The footage offers a look at how Western air-defense equipment is being used by Ukrainian crews to protect the country’s skies. Originally developed in France, the Crotale is a short-range air-defense system designed to intercept aircraft, helicopters and other aerial threats. Its radar-guided capabilities make it particularly useful as part of Ukraine’s layered air-defense network. For Ukrainian operators, every successful interception can mean one fewer Russian weapon reaching its intended target, whether that is military infrastructure, an energy facility or a populated area. The compilation also illustrates France’s contribution to Ukraine’s air defenses, although the footage alone does not establish the total number or types of targets destroyed. Nearly five years into the full-scale invasion, Ukraine continues to rely on a combination of Western-supplied systems and domestically developed capabilities to counter Russia’s aerial attacks.

Thank you @LithuaniaUNNY and all our Nordic-Baltic partners for raising the issue of Belarus at the @UN. Lukashenka’s regime, not the Belarusian people, is responsible for these crimes. Every political prisoner must be freed unconditionally, without forced exile.
At #UNGA81 Third Committee, Lithuania, on behalf of the #NB8 🇩🇰🇪🇪🇫🇮🇮🇸🇱🇻🇱🇹🇳🇴🇸🇪, highlighted Belarus’s growing disregard for human rights, at home and beyond its borders. Belarus actively supports Russia’s war of aggression, increasingly generates hybrid threats against its neighbours, including the instrumentalisation of migrants, and is complicit in the unlawful deportation of Ukrainian children. It must stop. belarus keeps tightening its grip on human rights: ▪️Dismantles civil society and independent media ▪️Jails opponents on political charges and uses torture, including sexual & gender-based violence ▪️Targets Belarusians abroad through transnational repression ▪️Specifically targets women activists, journalists and human rights defenders ▪️ Treats political prisoners as bargaining chips Releases must be unconditional, with no coercion, forced exile or further punishment. #HumanRights #StandWithUkraine

😬 Read the whole thing. Dire. —Europe is incapable of waging war. This was tragically confirmed to me at the Warsaw Security Forum There is only one thing left for Europe to do to give Ukraine a chance at winning this war, which is being fought on behalf of every democracy worldwide: unfreeze Russian sovereign funds, being safeguarded in Belgium, and find practical ways to use that money to arm and support Ukraine. Currently, Europe is not even providing adequate defensive resources, let alone those needed to launch a decisive attack against Moscow. Its leaders continue to look for a comfortable middle ground between waging war and preserving business as usual. European impotence is even more dangerous today because it takes place against the backdrop of America’s absence. This administration cannot be counted on (regardless of what happens in the upcoming midterms); it is thoroughly corrupt, immoral, and perhaps even compromised. Elections coming up in 2027 in several countries only threaten to tip Europe out of its current state of rudderless ambivalence into complete desertion of Ukraine. telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/10…

Ukraine's interceptor pilots hunt Russian drones by watching a camera feed. Ukrainian drone maker Wild Hornets has more than doubled the power behind it. Russia launched 280 drones at Ukraine overnight on 27 October. Cheap interceptors like the STING are one of Ukraine's answers, and its maker says it downed more than 3,000 drones in its first seven months of use. Now Wild Hornets says its new 4-watt video transmitter has passed Ukraine's state tests on three drone types. If the company's estimate holds, its interceptors' operating radius grows from about 20 km to 30 km, more than twice the area for each ground station. That figure assumes good line of sight, and new specs must wait for more field tests. 🔗 euromaidanpress.com/2026/10/…
