8/10/72: SWAMP THING #1 was published 50 years ago today, becoming an immediate sensation, as well as one of the finest books on the stands. Was the rare DC book written in "Marvel Style," with Bernie Wrightson working from Len Wein's finished script. A landmark of the medium.
Some random guy stopped me at Terrificon today to tell me that I was wearing the best shirt he'd seen all day. I of course had to tell him all about @theisb, @benito_cereno, @apocrypals and that it was @EricaFails who did the art. He's right, it's the best.
