Chelsea fans always eager and willing to try to bring spirits down around the club, but it won't work. We are the single best attack in Europe; and when Caicedo comes back we're going to be the single strongest team in Europe. It's going to be a fun title race. Shut up and watch

Arsenal isn't represented in the Balon D'or rankings because their season was a smash and grab, you can win playing dirty but you wont be regarded among the best.

If Harry Kane wins the Balon D'or, kids for generation will look back at his career calling him the best English player in history, and all he'd have shown for it is a pair of Bundesliga titles and ... a Balon D'or

Chelsea and Liverpool two horse race by April, Xabi vs Iraola will set the standard for how teams want to play in the modern era
Now THIS might be interesting Arsenal are kinda knackered......

Hansi Flick's style only suits teams in transition, he's reinvented the way they progress the ball and keep possession, but it's afforded Madrid a million chances. Same reason Chelsea was able to thrash them last season, and PSG this season.

El Classico hasn't been this exciting in eons, but the quality of this Barca team is embarrassing

I wanna do a thread on yesterday after thinking more about it and what the ideas were. 🧵 Overall, I think Alonso’s macro-approach made sense because of Spurs’ issues so far this season, but the details and his inability to adapt lost Chelsea the game.

Halfway through the 20/21 season I was absolutely adament that we'd win the champions league that season, strictly based on team performances in the group stage, this was around the time Lampard had us top of the league, weeks from being sacked. I feel the same now re: PL title

fifth place, 8 points off Arsenal, tussling with Liverpool, counting down the days till Manchester City get chucked in the relegation zone, players are reeling from jitters and momentum but still performing like a title winning team. Every little loss is just a teachable moment.

My honest-to-god prediction is we'll be in the middle of a three horse race (with Liverpool and Arsenal) till March, then one or both of them will stumble and we'll leapfrog them to the top of the table, then it'll just be us against the world in a mad rush to glory.

Arsenal didn't sweep us aside, they worked twice as hard as any team I seen to silence us and they got away with some outstanding calls. No different than spurs whose approach to beating us was hitting and hoping. Fine margins win us the league if we believe
Fulham had 62%, fought life and death to win, Arsenal swept us aside, 27% poss Home to Brighton 4-3 win, comeback Leeds 2-0 down, Hull ran riot at the Bridge to draw, smashed by Brentford, humiliated by Spurs, on top of a bad pre-season, not lying to myself anymore on Alonso.

It starts like this, it ends with the whole team being built around them 👍

The hardest thing about supporting Chelsea is the fanbase after a defeat or when we're on a poor run. By a mile. So toxic and emotionally draining. Its a waste of time trying to make the same points about stability and success, because its clear fans will never learn, and that holds us back as a club.

Mason Mount at United is what would happen if Liverpool signed this version of Reece James, gave him number 8, played him as a centerback, a winger, and a DM, and he only featured once every 2 months. They'd also think he's a shit player, and you too would preach patience
