Women know that men don’t scheme to “dress like girls” to assault them.
They do it every day in broad daylight. And the ones in power protect each other to keep it quiet.
Just ask the House Ethics Committee. Or the President-elect of the United States.
Leave women alone.

People took Ben White’s availability for granted too much and used to slate him when he didn’t play well despite being overplayed. The best part of 150 games in 4 seasons. Stopped us from seeing other useless players. Let’s see if Timber can handle his workload

If this country didn’t treat incarcerated people like they’re subhuman, this story would be all over every news platform. But because these are Black men and the US prison system is the evolution of American chattel slavery, people don’t care.
“In a span of just two weeks, a dozen Black men at Red Onion prison in Virginia took the same desperate measures, setting themselves ablaze. These are not acts of protest. These are human beings driven to extreme lengths, hoping for relief from torment.”

Yep, the main guardrail of democracy is Trump's own incompetence -- his inability to understand the mechanism of institutional power & to staff it with competent people who share his world view -- which has in fact repeatedly thwarted his authoritarian impulses.

We must not delude ourselves in this moment. Multiracial democracy in the United States is less than 60 years old. It has always been contested, often violently so. It has always been fragile. Since this nation's inception large swaths of white Americans -- including white women -- have claimed a belief in democracy while actually enforcing a white ethnocracy. In the face of shifting demographics where white Americans will lose their numeric majority, we see a growing embrace of autocracy to keep the "legitimate" rulers of this country in power. History teaches us that we are in a perilous moment.

I don’t know that any postmortem of now or 2016 can be credited to skill on Trump’s part. He is a cult personality who wins in spite of his executional shortcomings. It is a cultural phenomenon and indictment much more than some 4D Chess master.
we got to pretend this country was something other than it was for 8 years and now…. here we are. unable to pretend any more.

Not clear why anyone is looking to blame anyone other than the ppl who voted for Donald Trump for the ascent of Donald Trump.
If the man truly won the popular vote...seems pretty clear he's who the *populus* wants.

Want an example of a broken system? Florida DIDN’T “reject” the proposal to include a right to abortion in the constitution — they voted 58.2% in favor of abortion rights. But it needed 60% to pass, so it failed WITH A MAJORITY.
Can’t imagine what Florida women must be thinking.

Critical thinking which is acquired through education (formal or otherwise) is truly a privilege. Like atp it divides us more than race even
