This really just happened. Trump signed an executive order saying no one in the future can make major modifications to the Oval Office or Cabinet Room without Congressional Approval.
This comes after he literally tore apart an entire wing of the White House without Congressional approval.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Trump signed a proclamation (not an executive order) designating the Oval Office and Cabinet Room a national monument. The text does not require congressional approval for modifications and explicitly allows presidents to redecorate.

URGENT IN BARROW COUNTY, GA‼️ 🚨 SISTER HAS BEEN WAITING SINCE FEBRUARY! 💔Sister came into the shelter with Nelly back in February. Both girls were terrified when they arrived💔
Nelly is now safe in foster, but Sister is still waiting, and she’s really struggling with shelter life. 💔I’ve seen how sweet and loving Sister can be once she’s out of that fight or flight mode.💔She just needs a quiet place to decompress, feel safe and learn that she doesn’t have to be scared anymore.🙏🙏
She’s only 2 years old, and it breaks my heart that she’s spent so much of this year in a kennel.💔A rescue wants to help Sister, but they need a foster willing to open their home to her. 🤍She doesn’t need someone to expect her to be perfect right away. She needs patience, understanding and a chance to finally relax. Please share Sister🙏🙏🙏Her sister got her second chance, and I want that so badly for her🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Hey there — I'm Egon🐾🐾, a 2-year-old black Terrier mix, and I'm looking for someone patient and kind. 🐕
Right now I'm a bit shy and scared, so I'd do best in a quiet home where I can take my time getting comfortable at my own pace.
With lots of love, time, and gentle socialization, I know I can blossom into the adventurous pup I'm meant to be. ❤️
My adoption fee is $100, and I'm ready to find my person — someone who believes in giving a scared boy a second chance. 🏡
Adoption Hours:
Tuesday 1pm-5pm, Wednesday-Thursday 1pm-4pm
Friday - Saturday 1pm-5pm
Closed Sunday and Monday
Always adopt, don’t shop for a dog.🐾🐾
Rescue, Dogs, Rock!🐾🐾
In addition, please have your pets, spayed or neutered!

The first 2 Rules of Rescue:
1) It is a bitch, the heartbreak is horrific & the saves are too far & few
2) Never Kill List a Helper Dog (NYCACC doesn't get it) As a humane shelter you do everything to get these dogs adopted into good homes as a reward for their hard work.
A Helper Dog is the one who is used in Playgroup, out walking on the streets w/ Reactive Dogs, the 1st dog introduced to a new arrival. A dog who can regulate their stimulation. Sadly after being used & abused by shelters they develop Kennel Stress.
