The prosecution don't get to decide what will assist... they are called to give everything collected as part of the investigation INCLUDING and ESPECIALLY anything that might be exculpatory

The judgement of Sir Robin Spencer, the single judge who refused Lucy Letby's first leave to appeal, has not been made public. I'm being stonewalled by the Court of Appeal who are bizarrely trying to claim the judgement is confidential.

CPS withheld Letby’s obstetric records, claiming they wouldn't assist the defence.
Under CPIA s.3, it is not their place to decide what helps the defence. The test is anything that might reasonably assist. The defence decides not the crown.
