The internet really hasn't been a "Youth Space" for quiet some time. Especially on the older sites. People stick to what they know. Gen Alpha will get its own social media in like 5-10 years, and TikTok will be for old people, as it starts keeping its Gen Z'ers who will be entering their 30s.
Pretty much all the platforms of the previous era aren't that youthful. Facebook, Reddit, this site, etc. Only the platforms dominated by short-form clips still have a lot of young people. The text-based platforms, like Reddit, can only count on millennials and elders to continue using them.

Imagine if the President was elected by Popular Vote. Then the polls close, but the polls in NYC, North Virginia, Maryland, and Atlanta stayed open because they knew that the Dem Candidate was going to have SCOTUS keep the polls open, but only for polling places that didn't close. The Republican areas closed as the law required and they didn't know that order was coming, and it gives Dems 2+ hours of voting. That was Brazil tonight.
Be thankful that SCOTUS isn't like the Brazil Supreme Court.

Yeah as we expected it seems the urban areas update later in the day. Another 70k ballots have been counted, and it helped moved the votes from 65% Trump counties to 60% Trump counties. Once again, and you would think we wouldn't have to do this, but this does not mean that voting today was R+28. The only thing you can 100% say is that the votes from today came from redder counties than yesterday, which MAY IMPLY that today's voting was redder than yesterday.
Looks like Texas just did a bulk dump of ballots! Almost 400k ballots, 65%! from Trump counties. Now obviously this doesn't mean they are Paxton voters, and also from what we can tell the morning drop is normally mostly rurals, and they don't update until the next day.

If you ever moved to another state in your life Democrats will attack you for not representing its values. Unless you came from the Third World. An Iowan moving from West to East Iowa? Total mismatch, unassimilatable. A Somalian moving to Minnesota? Perfect representation.

Being anti-immigration with real power has never been easier. Barring like 2 primaries, in open or contested primaries the more anti immigration GOP candidate has won.

Build a coalition within the GOP that will.

Some people tell you to not vote GOP because they are "replacing you legally" and then when the GOP slows down the legal replacement. They suddenly seem to suggest that its pointless.

Funnily enough the winner of the total small donor donations was actually Nikki Haley (not counting Trump). She raised over $10M in those donations before Jan 31, 2024. Vivek raised the 3rd most, at about $5.4M but it was proportionally the most at 45%. The "NeoCon" Candidates actually overally did decent with them, about 26% of Haley's donations were small donors. Tim Scott and Mike Pence also did proportionally really well with 35% and 41% respectively. More than DeSantis' 20%.

What about Vivek in the '24 GOP POTUS primary? I remember hearing how well he was doing with small dollar donations compared to the other candidates.

Haven't had a Generic Ballot drop in a couple of days (from a halfway decent pollster). In 22 at the same time it was at least 1 a day.

Florida today so far has been pretty stagnant. Dems probably will win today's early voting in the evening, and then the Rs should pick back up tomorrow. Saturday and Sunday were "Souls to the Polls" which typically does good for Democrats.

While ActBlue probably does questionable things, at the same time the Dems have a far far more energetic donor base, and their strategy is different. Dems spend massively on digital ads for fundraising purposes and it works insanely well for them. Republicans don't do digital ads from money raising. We also have a difference in who people support. Republicans typically do not donate outside of their state. For example Ken Paxton's donations are about 75% from Texas. Talafreako's are 49% from Texas. Most GOP people who donate, donate in state, which limits the numbers of small donors you will have. Dems froth at the mouth to beat Republicans so plenty of California Libs will donate to any dem running in Trump states. They also are just generally more involved. Not sure if you were around in 2020, but I recall a College Student going to Elizabeth Warren on the campaign trail and saying "this is my last $20 and I want to donate it to you". They generally see donations as an investment. I donate, Dem wins, my welfare expands or student loans get canceled. Small Republican donors don't see it that way.

The Republicans have never been the King of Low Dollar Donations. Trump didn't even win small dollar donations in 2024. But as Republicans as a whole? No, the party has never done well on that. No matter who. Massie spent like $16M on his race, and only $3M was small donor dollars. This party no matter who it is doesn't raise small donor dollars. Name any "good" Republican and odds are they raised less than $1M in small donor funds. Literally any of them. Look at 22 Ohio. Vance raised less than $4M in small donor bucks. Tim Ryan raised nearly $24M.
Republicans went from being the party whose standard bearer was the King of Low Dollar Donations to the "apocalyptic" Party of Billionaires' Donations in less than two years. They also started a new war in the Middle East. Totally unrelated, of course. 😉

The GOP Grassroot voter simply doesn't support candidates they like through donations. Its never really happened, and it probably won't change for some time. There are plenty of great Congressman who simply raise nothing because the GOP small donor is incredibly concentrated on the Congressman making headlines. This year it was Gill, Massie, Jordan, Burchett, APL. Who have all been in the headlines a lot. Dems have at least 14 including 2 challengers. Not a single GOP Challenger has raised over $1M in small donor dollars, despite the grassroots winning quiet a few primaries, and this can go back and back and back. GOP really sucks at donating.
