179 people. Bunks. Lockers. A cheerful tour of 'where the magic happens.' Ottawa Mission dorms: full 365 days a year. Kennel rules would call that overcrowding for dogs. For humans it's a funding model. Cruelty, legislated. #Ottawa #LegislatedDestitution #HousingCrisis #Ottcity

A new month is beginning but disabled folks unable to work on disability support are still struggling below the poverty line and the government has no intention of helping us 😔 many of us rely on charity for basic needs. Please reach out if you can help.
Thank you ❤

Kafka understood the strange exhaustion of feeling guilty without knowing what you have done wrong.
You replay conversations, question your intentions, and search for mistakes that other people may not even have noticed. Even when nobody accuses you, you find yourself preparing a defense.
This feeling runs through Kafka’s *The Trial*, where Josef K. is accused of a crime without ever being told what it is. He spends his life trying to understand the charges against him, trapped in a system that offers neither clarity nor a way out.
Kafka captured something deeply human: the need to explain yourself, even when you do not understand what you are being judged for.
Sometimes, the most exhausting prison is the one built from your own need to justify yourself to everyone.
You do not have to defend your existence to every person who misunderstands you.
