Look at this bullish flow on Micron $MU. Someone is buying $600 calls expiring January 2027, with clusters of up to $19.3 million in premium hitting repeatedly this morning. Single-leg, heavily at the ask in several clusters One cluster: $12.5 million at the ask vs. just $70,000 at the bid Stock at $690 It comes a day after Micron fell about 13% in Thursday’s chip rout.

Interesting
The governor-elect of Texas, Gina Hinojosa, has explicitly said that all currently permitted datacenters in Texas will be allowed to finish construction. This essentially covers all of the 2027 and likely well into 2028. She is going to pass laws that ensure that all *newly* permitted datacenters going forward for delivery in 2028/2029 will pay taxes, commit to no increase in power prices for consumers, don’t impact water availability for people, be constructed with union labor and give “Texans a seat at the table.” Sounds reasonable. She doesn’t want to lose a lot of good blue collar jobs and property taxes for small towns in rural Texas. Datacenter commentary starts at 6:30 in this interview. Also attaching her official campaign position from her website in the next post. Sidenote: After watching a bunch of her speeches and interviews, I do think she is a political talent and probably has a future in national politics. youtu.be/D-T6H3b8ZeE?is=mEWu…

I think one thing is pretty clear. Existing facilities, permitted facilities with grid connections, and data halls soon to come online - they are more valuable today. Why? There is a shortage of power, massive demand, and now - definitively, a moat between powered and grid-connected sites and the rest. In addition to our development pipeline, $WULF will remain focused on an additional CB-6 at Lake Mariner. And I think our 1G at Muskie just became a top contender for the triple crown. Lots of work to do, and all must be consistent with the thoughtful application and zealous protection of our balance sheet, together with preservation of value for shareholders. But $WULF is well positioned.

97% of US homeowners with a mortgage now have a rate below today’s market rate, per the Economist. In 2022, it was just 54%. That’s why the housing market is frozen: almost no one wants to sell and give up a cheap mortgage for one above 7%.
