The Supreme Court ALLOWS the Biden administration to terminate the controversial Trump-era asylum policy known as "remain in Mexico." Red states argued that Biden was obliged to keep the policy, but SCOTUS says in a 5-4 ruling that the administration can end it.

🚨Lawmakers are threatening to override the CDC's decision to end Title 42.🚨
We need YOU to email your members of Congress to:
❌Reject efforts that would keep Title 42 in place.
✅Restore a fair, humane, & orderly asylum process at our border.

ICE will no longer send immigrant detainees to Etowah County Detention Center in Gadsden, Ala., “as soon as possible,” citing “a long history of serious deficiencies.”

“Let’s get it done, once and for all.” Tonight’s State of the Union Address only confirms the urgency for just immigration reform. @POTUS has the executive authority to provide immediate relief to immigrants across the country. We cannot wait any longer.

Also shout out to our partner organizations who helped make this possible: @HICA_Alabama, @ALimmigrant, @al_irp, Beloved Community Church, @ShutDownEtowah, @AdelanteAlabama, and a local United Methodist Church who provided van drivers.

The Senate Parliamentarian’s callous decision to block protections for immigrants in #BuildBackBetter is unacceptable. Senate Democrats promised to deliver and they must. They have a moral and political obligation to include green cards for close to 8M in BBB. #FreedomTogether

Immigrant inclusion in any #COVID19 relief package is a moral imperative & economic necessity. Immigrants continue to be at the forefront of the fight against this crisis but continue to be neglected. It's time to provide EVERYONE with the resources needed for our survival.
