It’s unacceptable that @UHC plans to move forward with this #priorauth program for GI endoscopy that will create MORE barriers to care for high-risk patients & potentially cost lives. We have met with them repeatedly, only to be stonewalled. This is not putting patients first!

This is what health insurance companies do. They find a commonly performed procedure costing them money, cover it with red tape, then attribute their actions to physician greed. Aetna did it with cataract surgery last year. This is just the beginning. statnews.com/2023/05/15/unit…
