A year of fasting and night prayer. For every step.
SubhanAllah. There is a remarkable reward connected to how we approach Jumu‘ah.
The Prophet ﷺ taught that whoever washes thoroughly on Friday then leaves early and walks to the masjid without riding. He sits close to the imam and listens without idle talk. For every step he receives the reward of a year of fasting and night prayer.
Sunan Abi Dawud 345. Authenticated by al-Albani.
We carefully arrange our week around earning a living. Do we give ourselves enough time to pursue what is being offered on Friday?
May Allah help us value these opportunities and accept our deeds.

The Deen is Spread Through Gentleness, Wisdom & Understanding Not Harshness, Ignorance and Personal Desires.
‘Allāmah ibn Bāz raḥimahullāh said:
“Indeed, wisdom, a good manner of approach and gentleness are among the most important matters at all times, and particularly so in these times, due to the prevalence of ignorance and the dominance of desires over most people. Through harshness, people will be repelled by you and distance themselves from you, and none will accept the truth except those whom Allah has shown mercy.”

OUT OF DARKNESS, INTO LIGHT !
A 23yr old man, raised as a Hindu, contacted CCDawah last weekend expressing an interest in Islām. We met him in Birmingham yesterday & explained Islām to him in as much detail as time permitted. He accepted the da’wah & uttered the testimony of faith;
“None has the right to be worshipped except Allāh alone & Muhammad (ﷺ) is His servant & His final Messenger.”
May Allāh grant him firm intention to worship Him alone purely for His sake, bless him with beneficial knowledge, righteous companions & a blessed ending… Paradise آمين – at West Midlands, England

Advice to Muslim Youth - Abū Ḥakīm Bilāl Davis
Youth is a time of opportunity, responsibility and important choices. Friendships, habits and the use of time can shape a person’s direction for years to come. Islamic guidance calls young Muslims to recognise the value of these years and to seek what benefits their faith and character.

May Allāh reward you and make it a source of ongoing charity
Sometimes the struggle is knowing which direction deserves our effort.
Work pulls one way. Family responsibilities pull another. Then there are our ambitions and the feeling that we should be further ahead by now.
We can spend a whole day being busy and still wonder whether we’re moving towards anything worthwhile.
The Prophet ﷺ said
“Strive for what benefits you. Seek Allah’s help and do not give up.”
Muslim
Imam al-Sa‘di (d. 1376 AH) رحمه الله advises choosing beneficial tasks in order of importance. He also encourages careful thought and consultation before making a decision. Once the benefit is clear and we have resolved to act, we should place our trust in Allah.
Al-Wasa’il al-Mufidah lil-Hayat al-Sa‘idah.
That gives me something to come back to when everything feels equally urgent.
What actually needs our attention? What are we pursuing because it matters to us? What are we chasing simply because we see other people doing it?
I don’t want to spend years working hard towards a life I never properly thought about.
We may not have every step figured out. But we can give the next decision the attention it deserves.
May Allah guide our choices and bless our efforts. May He protect us from spending our lives on what brings us no lasting good.

Imām Ibn Rajab on Surah Fātihah
This sūrah encompasses all the objectives of the revealed Books:
Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, sent the Messengers and revealed the Books only to call creation to know Him, single Him out in worship, worship Him, love Him, draw close to Him and turn to Him in repentance. This is the purpose of the Messengership, its very essence and the central axis around which it revolves. Everything beyond this consists of things that complete, perfect and supplement it. Everyone is therefore in need of knowing these matters through knowledge and implementing them through action. There can be no happiness, success or salvation for the servant without these two objectives.
Sūrah al Fātiḥah encompasses these objectives because it introduces the Lord, Glorified is He, through three Names to which all the other Names ultimately return: Allah, al Rabb and al Raḥmān. The sūrah is built upon Allah’s (uluhiyyah) sole right of worship, His Lordship and His Mercy. The statement, “You alone we worship” is founded upon uluhiyyah; “and You alone we ask for help” is founded upon lordship; and the request for guidance to His Straight Path is founded upon mercy. Praise encompasses all three, for He, Exalted is He, is praised for His divinity, lordship and mercy.
Extolling and glorifying Allah are two aspects of the perfection of His praise. The sūrah also encompasses the Oneness of Allah in His uluhiyyah and lordship through His statement:
“You alone we worship, and You alone we ask for help.”
Since everyone is in need of seeking guidance to the Straight Path, both in knowledge and understanding and then through action and adherence, the servant must ask for this guidance and seek it from the One in Whose Hand it lies.
This supplication is the greatest thing of which the servant stands in need and to which he is compelled at every blink of an eye. This is because people fall into three categories:
1. Those who knew the truth but turned away from it: those who incurred anger.
2. Those who were ignorant of the truth: those who went astray.
3. Those who knew the truth and acted upon it: those upon whom Allah bestowed His favour.
Since the servant possesses no independent ability to bring benefit to himself or ward off harm, he needs to ask the One who possesses the power and ability to grant it to guide him to the path of those upon whom favour has been bestowed, and to save him from the path of those who incurred anger and those who went astray.
The sūrah also encompasses the affirmation of Prophethood and the Resurrection. As for the Resurrection, this is established through the mention of the Day of Recompense, the day on which people are recompensed for their deeds. As for Prophethood, it is established through the division of creation into three categories, for people were divided into these categories according to their relationship with the Prophethood, their knowledge of it and their following of it.

Don’t Describe the One you Love to Others
Ibn al Qayyim mentions that some people would refrain from describing their beloved ones or mentioning their attractive qualities, fearing that by doing so, they might cause someone else to fall in love with them.
ʿAlī ibn ʿĪsā al Rāfiqī said:
“I shall never describe my beloved,
exposing them to the desires of other men.
Why should I awaken another person's heart with longing,
while a curtain still stands between me and union with my beloved?”
Ibn al Qayyim goes on to then warn the reader that some people foolishly describe their wives and their beauty to others, and that this can become a cause of separation and another person's attachment to them.
Ibn al Qayyim, Rawḍat al Muḥibbīn, chapter 22, p. 313 in the cited Dār al Kutub al ʿIlmiyyah edition.
