It will never happen but the fact that all of these groups of people are attempting (the asians, latinos and $5 indians included) should wake us up to our power. We need to realize that we have something worth protecting.

im not arguing with yall. i been researching shit since i was a jet. nothing in this world makes sense & it’s not a coincidence. they already have staged the world exactly how they want it. the only way to change is to literally separate us from them like how it used to be.

Man, imagine if someone created FBAFest, or FreedmenFest, or a Soulaan Celebration to replace Essence Fest. This is the time to do it.

Why would Black Americans claiming indigenous heritage concern people who aren’t even originally from the U.S.?

He was twenty-one and he had an alibi. He had been on the phone. There were records.
His lawyer met him for the first time on the day of the trial and did not use any of it.
Yutico Briley got SIXTY YEARS.
New Orleans, Louisiana, 2012. An armed robbery. Yutico Briley, twenty-one, was arrested nearby and identified.
He had been at a motel. He had phone records. He had an alibi that could be checked by anybody willing to spend an afternoon on it.
His trial lasted a matter of hours. He was represented by a lawyer who, on the record, had not meaningfully investigated the case and did not present the alibi.
He was sentenced to sixty years without parole for a robbery in which nobody was hurt.
He wrote letters from prison for years. Nothing moved.
What eventually moved it was a journalist. Emily Bazelon, writing for the New York Times Magazine, looked into the case after he reached out, and what she found was that the alibi had been verifiable the whole time.
The Orleans Parish District Attorney's office reviewed it and agreed the conviction could not stand. In March 2021 Yutico Briley walked out after **nine years.**
Nine years is not the longest sentence on this page today. That is exactly why it is here.
Leonard Mack got forty-seven years on the paper. Ricky Jackson got thirty-nine in a cell. You read those and the number does the work for you.
Yutico Briley was twenty-one and lost his twenties. He went in before Instagram was a habit and came out at thirty.
And the reason he got out is not that the system corrected itself. It is that a reporter at a magazine happened to read his letter.
How many letters are there? How many others are still waiting for someone to listen?

COPS CALLED ON BLACK 3-YEAR-OLD: A family says they were kicked off a youth soccer field in Winter Park, Florida, because their toddler was "too good."
The parents say other adults complained he "has the ball for too long." Then police showed up.
On video, an officer tells them "they're wanting you guys to head out." He gives no reason on camera and no one is arrested.
The mom says she watched a "huddle" of grown adults talking about her son. The dad: "They called the police on a 3-year-old."
He's 3. Should police ever be called over a toddler playing soccer?

A 9-year-old boy was grabbed by a stranger, forced into a car, and driven away while selling water on the side of the road.
But as the car sped through the streets, the terrified little boy looked out the window and began waving desperately for help. What happened next was unbelievable.
It happened in Jacksonville, Florida. The boy had been selling bottled water near an intersection when a man suddenly forced him into a vehicle and took off.
Shameika Dowell, who knew the boy and was helping supervise the children, witnessed what happened. She jumped into her own vehicle with her son and took off after the suspect, refusing to let the little boy disappear.
As she followed the car through the streets, she could see the boy inside, frightened and crying for help. She kept chasing until the driver finally stopped, then moved to block his escape.
But the boy was still trapped inside. Shameika rushed toward the vehicle and began kicking at the passenger door, determined to get it open. Other bystanders rushed over to see what was happening and began helping. They kept going until she finally managed to force the door open and pull the little boy to safety.
Police arrested the suspected kidnapper, and the boy was reunited with his family. Despite everything he’d been through, he later said he still wanted to sell water so he could buy clothes for school.
Shameika Dowell refused to look away when a little boy needed help. Her courage deserves to be recognized. 💙 – at Chicago, IL
