Every propulsion program reaches a stage where testing stops being about “Can it fire?” and starts becoming about “Does it behave exactly as predicted?” The Final Integrated Qualification Firing of our BSE-II engine was one of those moments. This terminal hot fire campaign delivered performance exactly aligned with our analytical predictions, simulation models, and expected operating behaviour developed throughout the program. But BSE-II was never just about a single engine. It was about building the capability to design, test, iterate, and validate reusable propulsion systems completely in-house as a team. Over the course of this campaign, we strengthened not only the engine itself, but also the engineering processes, end-to-end infrastructure, control systems, testing workflows, and propulsion validation capabilities required for reusable launch systems. With the successful completion of the BSE-II campaign, our focus now advances toward the next phase of the AbyoKalaM Cryogenic series and our Reusable Rocket prototype development program, alongside dual-use technologies for civil and defence applications. #Abyom #RocketEngineering #Defence #Engine #ReusableRockets @isro @DRDO_India @JainulAbedin37 @narendramodi @DrJitendraSingh @IndiaDST @RuntimeBRT @startup__pedia @IndianTechGuide @RamMNK @ANRFIndia @NewsIADN @Inc42 @idrwalerts @StartupGrind @startupstorym @thebetterindia @indstartupnews @IStartupTimes @FortuneIndia @Analyticsindiam @TOIIndiaNews @YourStoryCo

Every ambitious innovation journey begins with a small seed. Ours began in a small village, with a dream of building reusable rockets and making space access more affordable. During his school years, our founder received the INSPIRE National Fellowship from the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India (@IndiaDST). This early encouragement became one of the important stepping stones in his journey, nurturing his scientific curiosity and strengthening his ambition to build something meaningful. That early encouragement helped strengthen our conviction, nurture our ideas, and lay the foundation for a bootstrapped deep-tech startup. Over time, continued support and the broader innovation ecosystem helped that initial seed take root, grow, and evolve into Abyom SpaceTech & Defence. Today, the DST, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, has #featured Abyom’s journey in its #Annual Report. From an early fellowship to developing rocket propulsion technologies, testing infrastructure, and reusable launch systems, our journey has been one of learning, perseverance, and continuous progress. We're grateful to DST for being part of our journey and to everyone who has contributed to our progress along the way. What began as a small seed is growing into something much bigger, and we know there is still a long way to go. @narendramodi @DrJitendraSingh @ANRFIndia @isro @tdbgoi @INSPACeIND @JainulAbedin37 @karandi65 @ramgopal_rao @SomanathSpeak @startupindia @NITIAayog @meitystartuphub @AdityaBirlaGrp @bitspilaniindia @iitmadras @startup__pedia @RuntimeBRT @SINEIITB @mygovindia @Boeing @Forbes @ForbesIndia @PMOIndia @PrinSciAdvOff #AbyomSpaceTech #DST #DeepTech #INSPIRE #ReusableRockets #SpaceTech #Defence #RDI #ANRF #DepartmentOfScienceAndTechnology

6 Years of Abyom. 25 Orbits Around the Sun! Time flies. Sometimes I still wonder how a childhood dream of becoming an Astronaut and a fascination with the stars slowly turned into something much bigger than I had imagined. What started as pure curiosity became a stubborn idea. That idea became a profession. And that profession became Abyom SpaceTech & Defence. Today, as Abyom completes its 6th Foundation Year, I am also completing my 25th orbit around the Sun. Coincidentally, almost every new year of Abyom has been another year of my own life. Growing up in a small village in eastern Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh, I would often sleep on the roof, looking at the open sky, the Moon and the vastness of the Universe. I was fascinated by the question of what exists beyond what we can see. I grew up reading Carl Sagan, Stephen Hawking, Einstein, Tesla and many others, wanting to understand physics and the universe more deeply. That shaped much of my curiosity. Then, at around 16, one question became a little more stubborn: Why can’t I build our own Reusable Rocket and go to space? It sounded unrealistic. The stubbornness stayed. During my school years in Kolkata, learning about Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Vikram Sarabhai and Homi J. Bhabha further shaped my ambition. Their work across Defence, Space, and Nuclear technology became a major inspiration. At 19, during my first year of college in Gorakhpur, I started Abyom. There was no ready-made ecosystem around me for rockets, investors, or resources. I was studying, building a company, searching for people and learning things I had never been taught. Then came ISRO, COVID, and Hyderabad in 2023. With the support of the government, institutions, and well-wishers, the journey moved from ideas towards real hardware. Engines. Testing infrastructure. Facilities. Failures. Iterations. Team building. Slowly, ideas that once existed only on paper became engineering systems. The last six years taught me more than any classroom could. We made mistakes. Took wrong decisions. Faced uncertainty, resource constraints and moments when stopping seemed easier. As a first-generation entrepreneur, you don't know what is waiting around the next corner. You learn, correct, adapt and keep moving. I am deeply grateful to our family, team, teachers, mentors, partners, investors, Government institutions, friends and every well-wisher who believed in this journey. Six years later, the dream has evolved; but the stubbornness hasn't. There is still a lot to prove. The first 3 years were about research and learning. The next 3 were about building hardware and proving what we could build. The next 3 are about flight-ready systems and expanding the vision across multiple core applications. Today, I don't feel like celebrating a destination. I feel grateful for the journey- for the little boy looking at the sky, the 16-year-old asking an impossible question, the 19-year-old starting a company without knowing what he was getting into, and every person who joined along the way. 25 orbits. 6 years of Abyom. A lot learned. A lot more to build. Still a long way to go. The journey continues...

Some collaborations are more than just an MoU - they are a continuation of a journey that started years ago. For @AbyomSpaceTech , @bitspilaniindia, has been a very important part of that journey. It's the place where we received some of our early manufacturing, R&D and ecosystem support while building our initial Rocket propulsion technologies. Today, as we work toward expanding our vision for National security, indigenous Reusable Rocket technologies and dual-use defence systems, it was particularly meaningful to formalise this collaboration. The MoU was signed by @JainulAbedin37, Founder & CEO, Abyom SpaceTech & Defence and Prof. @ramgopal_rao, Group Vice Chancellor, Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. Grateful to Prof. Rao & BITS administration, whose continued support and encouragement have been valuable throughout our journey. The MoU signing was also a significant moment, taking place in the presence of distinguished leaders from India’s space, defence and national security ecosystem, including: • Dr. @g_satheeshreddy - Former Chairman, @DRDO_India , Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India, Member National Security Advisory Board • Dr. Jagannath Nayak- DS & Director General, Missiles & Strategic Systems (DGMSS), DRDO • Dr. BHVS Narayana Murthy- Vice Chancellor, Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT), DU, DRDO, Pune • Prof. D Sriram- Director In-Charge, @bitshyderabad • Suresh Mathews Thomas, Deputy Director, MDA, Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC), @isro along with several distinguished representatives from the @DAEIndia , @HALHQBLR,@BEL_CorpCom , @MidhaniLtd @BharatForgeLtd & Others. For us, this is not simply about signing a collaboration. It is about strengthening the bridge between academia, deep-tech industry, engineering talent, national security and indigenous technology development. The journey that began with early R&D and manufacturing support is now evolving into a broader collaboration toward building capabilities for the future. #Abyom #BITS #BITSPilani #SpaceTech #Defence #DeepTech #NationalSecurity #MakeInIndia #AbyomSpaceTech #ISRO #DRDO

A milestone that means a lot to us -> one of our Technical Patents has been granted! When we started building our reusable propulsion capabilities, we quickly realised that developing a rocket engine is only one part of the problem. You also need the ability to test it, measure it, understand its behaviour, iterate, and test again. That is where our journey into indigenous rocket engine testing infrastructure began. From designing and building our own systems to conducting repeated hot-fire campaigns, every iteration taught us something new. Those engineering challenges eventually became the foundation for the technology covered by this patent. Today, this intellectual property strengthens our work toward building advanced propulsion and reusable launch systems at @AbyomSpaceTech. For a deep-tech company, patents are not just about protecting an idea. They are about documenting the engineering behind an idea - and creating a foundation on which the next generation of technology can be built. Thank you to Team Abyom, the engineers, researchers and everyone who worked through countless iterations to make this possible. One more milestone secured. Many more problems to solve. The work continues. #Abyom #Patent #Invention #SpaceTech #Propulsion #DeepTech #Infrastructure #PatentGranted #AtmanirbharBharat

Like many of us, I grew up reading about legendary scientists such as Albert Einstein, Max Planck, Kepler, Heisenberg, Röntgen, Ohm, Gauss, Kirchhoff, Otto Hahn, Hermann von Helmholtz, Joseph von Fraunhofer, and many others through our Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics textbooks. They weren't just names in books- they were the pioneers whose discoveries shaped modern science and engineering. Even before founding @AbyomSpaceTech & Defence, I was fascinated by the history of rockets. One story that always inspired me was that of Wernher von Braun. As a young man in the 1920s, he joined an amateur rocket club driven by a dream of space exploration. To pursue that dream, he later joined the German military, where his team developed the A-4 rocket (later known as the V-2), the world's first successful long-range ballistic rocket. Years later, he led NASA's Marshall Space Flight Centre, where his work on the Saturn V rocket made the Apollo 11 Moon landing possible. His journey reminds us how technology can evolve from conflict to enabling humanity's greatest achievements. Landing in Germany as part of the 1st Indo-German InnoXchange Program felt surreal. It wasn't just another international visit; it was an opportunity to walk the same land and soil that gave the world many of the scientific minds whose work we grew up studying. From Baden-Württemberg, Heidelberg, Karlsruhe, Bavaria, Stuttgart, and Frankfurt, every city reflected a strong culture of research, innovation, engineering, and technology. Visiting world-class universities, research centres, the automobile industry, and deep-tech organisations gave a deeper understanding of how Germany has built one of the world's strongest innovation ecosystems. Throughout the program, I had the opportunity to explore five strategic deep-tech sectors- Space, Defence, Quantum, Nuclear, and Energy- and see how research is transformed into real-world technologies through close collaboration between industry, academia, and government. This journey was not just about representing Abyom -it was an honour to represent India among a select delegation of startups. Sincere thanks to the Governments of India and Germany and to all the partner institutions that made this exchange possible. The dream that began with school textbooks and stories of rockets now feels one step closer to reality. @IndiaDST @DWIH_NewDelhi @SINEIITB @iitbombay @ANRFIndia @bitspilaniindia @Uni_Stuttgart @MercedesBenz @startupindia @DLR_de @DLR_en @meitystartuphub @DAADIndia
