Sydney Uni Chancellor David Thodey is slated to appear at a Jerusalem Post Israel propaganda event in Sydney. In his enthusiasm to promote a genocidal state, Thodey is unfit to be Chancellor. A disgusting insult to Palestinians and their many supporters in the USyd community.
Chancellor of @sydney_uni David Thodey and NAB Chairman Philip Chronican are listed as featured speakers at the upcoming Jerusalem Post Summit in Sydney. Thodey's inclusion has infuriated USyd staff and alumni who have been pushing the university to cut ties to Israel. "It’s appalling for a university chancellor to be speaking at this pro-Israel propaganda event. This is a PR event for a genocidal state." - a USyd staff member. deepcutnews.com/p/usyd-chanc…

Richard Saunders from Doubledown News on the UK's antisemitism in schools report. It creates a hierarchy of racism, supporting the IHRA definition of antisemitism that conflates criticism of Israel with antisemitism. instagram.com/reel/De2Egojod…

"This is a part of the plan to make the conditions of life unlivable so they cannot live there" Palestinian-American historian Rashid Khalidi warns that Gaza faces a catastrophic winter, with thousands at risk of dying as Israel continues to block adequate shelter, medicine, reconstruction equipment, and supplies needed to repair water and sewage systems for the fourth consecutive year. Khalidi says Israel is deliberately creating conditions designed to drive Palestinians out of Gaza.

THREE YEARS IS TOO MANY. WE WILL NOT STOP. Three years of ongoing genocide should shame every government that has refused to use its power to stop it. Every further delay deepens Australia’s complicity. Across the world, communities are organising, institutions are divesting and governments are facing pressure to act. Our movement is forcing change. We will keep mobilising in our workplaces, schools, streets and communities until Israel is held accountable and Palestine is free, from the river to the sea. Turn solidarity into action. Demand sanctions: apan.org.au/sanction/ Join the Global Day for Gaza - 11 October. Read APAN’s full statement. Link in bio.

Another great article from Michael Bradley. It makes a huge difference to have people like Michael in our corner as we stare down Zionist lawfare – in it out of principle, not afraid of politics, and willing to take the Zionists on in the public arena, outside the courtroom.

Today I got directed by an anonymous @Sydney_Uni official to remove a Palestinian flag: 'the inclusion of what could be reasonably interpreted as blood splatters…, combined with a clenched fist, poses a psychosocial risk and is otherwise inappropriate'. I've refused to comply.

Remember when I warned that by removing Gaza #rubble Israel would destroy human remains deserving burial, together with evidence of crimes? ProApartheid squads rushed to call me LIAR - after calling me: Impostor Antisemite Hamas spokesperson Witch. But we keep receipts.
NEW ANALYSIS — In Gaza, Israel’s ongoing destruction during the so-called ceasefire is desecrating the bodies of Palestinians which remain beneath the rubble. Our analysis of videos and satellite imagery finds military practices of demolition, compaction and removal of rubble. These risk making the recovery of Palestinian remains impossible in the 65% of Gaza under Israel’s control.

Zionism is a racist, settler colonial ideology! The brilliant @m7mdkurd
“As a Palestinian, I am the direct subject of Zionism. I’m an expert on it, in fact, because it is practised on my body” Mohammed El-Kurd defines Zionism in under 5 minutes. He says everything that needs to be said👇

Well, this is an alarming escalation. I’m 1 of 7 plaintiffs challenging QLD laws in the High Court that criminalise expressions of Palestinian solidarity. We were already up against the QLD LNP Government - now NSW Labor has announced its falling into lockstep beside them, joining the fight to keep these fascistic laws in place. 7 individuals are now facing 2 state governments over laws that suppress dissent against genocide, erode civil liberties and have a chilling effect on those standing in solidarity with Palestinians. If you care about Palestine, protest, civil liberties and the right to speak against injustice, please consider helping us fight this. 🇵🇸 chuffed.org/project/173177-j…

I hope people in #Gaza can see this. #Milan 3/10/26: young people lit their phones in the dark to tell their peers in Gaza: you are not alone; spontanously they sang Free Palestine. The young generation, marked by the genocide, will see apartheid Israel in the dock. #CSALambretta

Whoever wins next month’s election – whether Netanyahu again or one of his rivals – will keep the country heading on the same ethnic supremacist track Israel has been on for decades. Trump, Burnham, Macron and other western leaders understand this. They want Netanyahu out of the way not so there is real change but simply so they can revert to what constituted business as usual before the Gaza genocide: a slower, more incremental pace to the eradication of the Palestinian people. They want to be able to rebrand the Gaza genocide as one man’s historic folly, a tragic catastrophe that cannot be reversed but can be mitigated if he is gone. They want us looking resolutely forwards, to real-estate deals and a distant two-state solution, not backwards: to their active role in levelling the homes of more than two million people – with mostly US munitions that unleashed eight times the explosive force of the atom bombs that destroyed Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The Trump administration has already okayed the shipment of vast numbers of these mega bombs to replenish Israeli stocks, even before the result of the Israeli election is known. Notably, the same Trump administration that allowed Netanyahu, a war crimes suspect, to travel to the UN in New York blocked the putative leader of the Palestinians, Mahmoud Abbas, from doing so. In announcing his new sanctions policy targeting Israel’s illegal settlements, Miliband was keen to stress that it would in no way affect intelligence sharing with Israel - the kind of intelligence coordination that saw British planes carrying out surveillance operations over Gaza throughout the genocide. And while Miliband promised a “double lock against arms exports” to Israel as part of the UK’s sanctions package, in practice not a single existing arms export licence has been revoked or suspended since. The current fight is not against a genocidal Israeli state or for some illusionary Palestinian state - let alone for justice for the endlessly abused Palestinian people. It is about engineering a reset in which the West gets Israel’s old guard back in charge. Western leaders have been embarrassed by the froth-mouthed rantings of Netanyahu’s government. This week Smotrich called for Israel to unleash its genocidal Gaza policies on the West Bank - presumably using the very bombs Trump is about to ship them. He told the Israeli media: “We should do there what we did in Gaza.” Western leaders fear what that would do to their sinking credibility. And they have allies in Israel, among its opposition, whose vision - at least for the moment - is not Smotrich’s of a Gaza-style eradication of the West Bank. Rather they envision continuing the current trajectory of gradually turning the West Bank’s small, surviving Palestinian ghettos, trapped in a sea of illegal Jewish settlements, into mini-concentration camps - small replicas of Gaza before it was destroyed. Those are the competing visions among Israelis for the West Bank: the absolute confinement of Palestinians in a series of cages versus their extermination. This is an extract from my latest article The West wants Netanyahu gone - so Palestinians can be killed more quietly again. Find a link to the rest in the reply post ⬇️

What is the Australian government doing about this?
More than 900 wheelchairs donated by two Australian charities have reportedly been blocked from entering Gaza for over a year. The UN says Gaza has the world’s highest concentration of child amputees. Al Jazeera’s Ibrahim AlKhalili reports.
