On 14 February, Adriana Orme and Holly LeGresley were sentenced to 15 months and two years in prison, respectively, for creating, distributing, and viewing extreme animal cruelty content depicting the torture of primates. This case shows how the Obscene Publications Act 1959 is used by the police, the CPS, and judges to prosecute the increase of extreme animal cruelty online.
