Sen.-elect Turek: One of the problems is, you haven’t had enough Democrats willing to go into deep red counties.

Feasibility studies to connect Omaha and even Lincoln, Nebraska to Chicago, Illinois across Iowa have already been performed. The only thing stopping these projects was GOP obstructionism. The Midterms changed that.

Democrats have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to build out passenger rail service and transform the economy and lifestyle of the Midwest forever. Omaha, Nebraska should be connected to Chicago by High Speed Rail AND multiple intercity trains on different routes across Iowa!

Iowa has the best election integrity in the nation. This result was predictable and predicted by an overwhelming number of informed observers.
No way in hell.
Iowa did not vote for communism because of gas prices (that were the same or less than under previous admin) or a war to end a nuclear threat (w/ no boots on the ground).
I know Iowa.
Iowa raised me.
Iowa educated me.
The math isn’t mathing here.
Let’s audit this election to make sure the results are honest before we hand over the Hawkeye state and America to Communists.
Do not certify until you VERIFY the vote.

You are a fool. Iowa has one of the most trustworthy election systems in the country. You may have been raised in Iowa, but you don't know Iowa. The voters have spoken. They wanted change. If you paid closer attention, you would know that Iowa still has a Republican legislature.

Replying to @zmeunier
The @iowademocrats team bet on Iowa Democrats before it was cool. Before Iowa was the center of the political universe. They made this comeback happen - sometimes while getting told to dial back their ambition and that Iowa didn’t matter by the DNC. They did it anyway.

Four years ago, Pres. Biden nominated Scott Colom to serve as a federal judge in Mississippi.
Mississippi Republican Senator Roger Wicker supported the nomination of Mr. Colom. The state's other senator, Cindy Hyde-Smith, refused to do so based on absurd claims.
Mr. Colom reached to Sen. Hyde-Smith to address her concerns and respectfully point out misunderstandings on her part and appeal to her better angels.
Other prominent Mississippi Republicans reached out to Sen. Hyde-Smith asking her to reconsider and support Mr. Colom's nomination.
She still refused, effectively killing his nomination for no good reason.
She's now on the verge of losing her seat to Scott Colom, who would have never been a threat if she had supported his judicial nomination.

Iowa voter: I am so fed up with the way things are going. I’ve voted for every Republican since I was 18 years old. This year, I voted for every Democrat. If there was one under a rock, I’d vote for them today.

How does a candidate for Lt. Governor just DISAPPEAR and ghost the entire campaign, and Zach Lahn and the GOP aren't pressed to answer for it? Where is Derek Wulf? @DMRegister @KCCINews @presscitizen
WHere’s Derek Wulf? Last t @LahnHQ post about Derek Wulf’s was June 13, 2026.
What is the Lahn campaign hiding? Automatic Succession?

What a poignant closing quote in Iowa Senate race:
“When it was all done and they could ride the buses someone asked Rosa Parks, ‘How do you feel about all this?’” Fmr Sen. Tom Harkin said. “She said, ‘Well my feet are tired, but my soul’s at rest.’ So with Josh Turek coming into the Senate my soul will be at rest.”
