An important update: A federal court judge just announced that he plans to grant a temporary restraining order in the case, requiring USAID not to place thousands of employees on leave tonight and pausing evacuations of staff abroad until the case can continue.

Ajay Banga is confirmed as the next World Bank president, the lender's board says in a statement.
