And another final flight from the _Enterprise_ crew.
He did the best one could do with not very much material as Chekov. On B5, any episode with Bester was guaranteed to be a good one, and it always added a little extra pleasure that an SF icon had been finally given the chance for a role where his acting could soar.

If you're looking for a great new pod, this is one. Robert Frederick tells an astonishing story, very well.
Just discovered @loony_not's The Hidden Life is Best podcast, all about Francis Bacon and the origins of the modern deep state.
Check it out at: podbean.com/podcast-detail/j…

Heads up, @OpenAI and @AnthropicAI. Rumor reaches my ears that you're doing a stupid thing, and should stop before you damage yourselves.
I hear you've now nerfed your models so that when people try to use them to clean the spamware and spyware out of their televisions, you block that.
If you really want Chinese open-weight models and open-source projects like OpenWaldo to eat your lunch, crippling your models so that people paying expensive subscriptions can't use them for completely legitimate purposes is a great way to accomplish this.
If, on the other hand, you'd rather have a volume business, maybe stupid arbitrary restrictions that look like they have the sole purpose of protecting corporate sleazeballs aren't such a good idea.
A word to the wise should be sufficient.

GPS uses satellites and atomic clocks. The astrolabe had neither so it was not GPS.
"According to Max Born, Pascual Jordan developed in 1925 the same statistics, which he called Pauli statistics, but it was not published in a timely manner." Because Max Born forgot about it for six months while he was on a lecture tour.

Superconductivity related: The better we understand electrons the closer we get to understanding how to pack atoms close enough together their orbital shells can exchange phonons. Tag: Electromagnetism theory.
Physicists in Okinawa have floated a diamond about a centimetre wide and pushed it up and down using nothing but the spins of electrons inside it, pumped by pulses of green laser light.
That object is roughly a hundred million times heavier than anything moved by spin force before. So, a quantum force now shows up directly on something heavy enough for gravity to matter.
Having met her, I can attest that she only followed half of that advice. She was the most unhappy and unpleasant person I've ever met. There's a reason she had some employees who worked for her, so they could rob and dismember her and her family.

My dear wife actually wrote a book of her own. So, now I can't walk around the house a the only author... Dang it!
Anyways, it's a magnificent book. My writings don't compare to it in favorable light, and I'm very happy about that, because my wife was writing about our God.
So the book better have been good, y'know?
Get yours here after reading my wife's reasoning as to why she even wrote it. And why not subscribe to her every week blast on Substack?
I believe it starts shipping in November. It's already, with pre-orders, extremely high in the rankings in the Amazon, but of course, it is available from many sources the publisher, Moody, uses to distribute the book.

Mask is off that there are people out there dedicating their lives to ensuring I get blacklisted from Science Fiction and Fantasy.
What is wrong with these people?

Great science fiction series. Sort-of detective noir in deep space; cyberhacker protagonist from a .mil family in Iowa, a hot/smart/tough gal pal, a wise-cracking bird (that's combat AI), an AI ship, and better interstellar technology than Star Trek. Very entertaining, and the audio books (Jeffrey Kafer!) are top-notch. Go read them.
Tomorrow (Sunday, Oct. 25, 2 PM ET), I'll discuss my Fields & Energy Project, wave-particle duality, and where modern physics went wrong.
Exclusive to paid subscribers of either my Fields & Energy Substack or Matt Ehret's Substack.

I'm privileged to know Tim Powers who wrote the book on which this movie and this scene was based.
And, yes, I mean based.
