Here’s what to watch Tuesday night.
Tarrant first. If that D+4.1 holds once Election Day ballots come in, Tim O’Hare’s county no longer belongs to Republicans.
Then Williamson and Fort Bend. Two suburbs Republicans used to count on. Neither is voting like it.
Nueces is the tell for the Coastal Bend. D+2.4 is a coin flip with a thumb on the scale.
And watch the voters with no primary history. In 2024, they made up 48.8% of the final electorate. In 2022, 35.7%. Where that number lands Tuesday tells you whether this is a normal midterm or the year Texas stopped staying home.
