Words (from LH) that came after his heated reaction immediately after the race and his social media post ("We have to be honest"), which Leclerc somehow accepted more readily than Ferrari did. The team was irritated by the tone, but above all by Lewis's insistence.
Vasseur repeated the same message to both of them: Ferrari is bigger than any driver. What happened in Mexico (and, we would add, all the controversy that followed) was an enormous lack of respect towards everyone working in Maranello. And towards the sponsors, which is no minor detail.
Will this be enough to restore peace? We have our doubts. Hamilton, spotted in the paddock this morning, did not look particularly convinced by the outcome of the meeting. After all, his demands, to be recognised as the team's leader and, consequently, the number 1 driver, are unlikely to be heard.
This is also due to contractual reasons, as Vasseur himself explained after Monza: "We chose to have two equal drivers," the team principal said back in September. "It's written into their contracts. Lewis has known that ever since he signed."

palmer has withdrawn once after a season of reoccurring issues/pubalgia which in itself is hard to manage. tuchel himself has historically complained about fixture congestion at the very club palmer plays at. yes he’s not obliged to pick him, don’t act like it’s on merit though.
I love this from Tuchel, and I absolutely agree with him.
Palmer has a habit of constantly withdrawing from international friendly camps. He wants to select the matches he’s available for. But if he isn’t called up for major tournaments, he and Chelsea fans will start throwing tantrums.
It’s simple: if you keep withdrawing from friendly squads, the coach also has the right to leave you out of tournament squads.

#7 has never anchored a defence, none of the Celtic's defences were built around #7. The championship run including the finals were built on Tatum's ability to switch 1-5 while being the big in PnR coverages.
This argument will always be silly when you leave out that they were forced into different roles.
One had to support the offense while anchoring the defense, the other got to be the offense while occasionally having to step up on defense. One looks sexier because it put points on the board.
The only time one of the two of them had to do both it led them to a title. He then got to stamp himself when he stepped up.
